If I remember rutgers only update the your status screen monday-friday at 11pm.

Also, waitlisted to both sebs and sas…

I was accepted to Camden SAS on March 8th. Newark and NB SAS has been in process this whole time. The wait is killing me on those two, especially NB.

If bobby and blink are getting waitlisted while i’m still waiting and they go by the “credentials at time of applicant pool” then is it safe to say i’ll also be waitlisted or denied? It sure seems that way.

benjimon, U never know whats gonna happen.

wow, if all these guys are getting wait-listed, then I guess a 2.8 gpa OOS is out of question lol.

Got accepted to NB SAS over the weekend
{ CC GPA:3.7
H.S GPA: 2.9
Credits:16 when I applied, 30 by the end of spring}
Does anyone know exactly what the housing process is for a sophomore transfer? Or any transfer for that matter. From the research and talks I’ve had w/friends who go there it seems tedious and unclear.
Any fast reply would be much appreciated.

Chances for OOS non traditional student?
gpa:3.5
transferring from a California Community College.
URM in need of financial aid.
I want to be close to NY for internships, but don’t think I will get into NYU.

@CFpromises93 after you submit that you are enrolling and pay the $150 deposit go onto the enrollment pathway and activate your NetID. After you activate your NetID you have to wait a couple of days before you sign up for housing because you need to allow some time for them to put you in the system. Everything is in the enrollment pathway all the links and stuff. Be patient, but keep checking the system to see if they put you in. And there’s also a $200 deposit for housing. Hope that helps :).

qwertypm, thanks for answering. I know about what I need to do to sign up for housing. What I’m concerned about is the fact that I won’t know for certain until August. I have also heard that the sometimes put students in hotels if there is not enough space. Basically, what happens if I do get put in a hotel? And if not, what is the best housing option you would recommend for a transfer to choose? College Ave., Busch, Livingston? ect.

Well I’m in the same situation as you. So I’m not to sure about all of that. I just signed up for housing last week and am hoping for the best. As for which campus to choose it’s all up to your preferences. I chose College Ave. for my number 1 and Busch for my number 2.

You guys are NOT going to find out where you live LITERALLY until a few days before school starts. No kidding. I remember my friends were complaining when they transferred.

@Norcaltransfer
U should be good.

@soccerguy
thanks, hope so.

Still “In process” for Rutgers NB - SAS since early November…I have a 2.9 GPA as a transfer with an Associates degree.

I see people recently being waitlisted for the following:

Student transferring with one or two college semesters by the end of the spring with a lower GPA than me but a higher high school GPA.

Students transferring with one or two college semesters by the end of the spring with a lower high school GPA but a slightly higher college GPA than me.
-Students transferring with one or two college semesters by the end of the spring with slightly higher GPA than me and a consistent high school GPA with their college GPA.
~_~…

Also i didn’t even apply for financial aid and I know that Rutgers is definitely NOT considered “Need-blind”.

Benjimon

I have a 2.79 gpa, OOS, 39 credits and got accepted to SAS. i think you are good lol

got into sebs with a 3.28 and 21 credits

@isaacxhan when did you apply? i have the exact gpa as you and i have about the same amount of credits, maybe a little more. i’ve been waiting on sebs and sas

Wow, NB-SAS just said yes to me. I can’t believe this. Best day of my life!

Stats:
OOS
3.77 gpa (from community college in NC)
49 credits (58 @ end of this semester)
NO extra curriculars

Unbelievable.

nvm admitted to sas and sebs just now

@sky2k8336 I can’t believe you’re shocked that were admitted. I understand that you faced a slightly harder challenge getting in because you are OOS, but they would be dumb to turn down someone of your caliber. Anyways, congrats to you and anyone else that was recently admitted!
