OFFICIAL Rutgers FALL 2012 Transfer

Hey guys question! I just talked to a friend and he said that it is easier to get in as an OOS student than an in-state student because the school will get more money from an OOS student. Is this true???

Still no decision.

I have a feeling I’m going to get wait-listed or even worse, rejected.

@JAT0927

I was so shocked they accepted me because I am OOS, absolutely no extra curriculars and I was convicted of a felony about 7 years ago.

@NJCollegeBoy

Keep your head up. You could still get in. I wouldn’t look too much into how long they are taking to get back to you. I got accepted to Rutgers-Camden on March 8th, and didn’t hear back from Newark yet at all, and didn’t hear back from New Brunswick until the 29th. I was assuming Newark and NB were both going to say no as well after that long wait, but NB said yes. Good luck to you.

what are my chances? I got a 3.67 gpa … I fail a class over the summer and but took it again in the fall and got A- in it … I did **** in high school like a 2.0 gpa … PTK member … I applied in early January and all three schools are “In Process” … I applied to NB-SAS(My number one choice), NB- Business school, NB- SEB

I’m from Brookdale CC … And I applied last year after taking 12 credits with a (4.0) and got rejected … I have like 60-something credits now and I’m going to Graduate in May

Deadkennedy1551, You will get in 100%. If your GPA was a 3.7+ you could have qualified for the scholarship :)

I was also a brookdale student who just transferred this semester.

i got accepted to the Rutgers Business School in New Brunswick with a gpa of 3.26 from a community college and i have an associate degree. i am so surprised i thought i wouldnt get in because my gpa wasnt higher than 3.5 I can’t tell you guys how happy i am good luck to all of you.

nice work bottlepop1991. Just be careful there. RBS is famous for flunking people.

***!!! I have a 3.66 gpa with 60 something credits and I got rejected from the Business school and wait listed for SAS and SEB

If I dont get in IDK what to do. I only applied to Rutgers because everyone said a 3.6 gpa is good enough now Its a very good possibility I wont be going to school in the fall. I knew this was going to happen.

Are you guys being serious? I got accepted to SAS with a 2.79 GPA with 39 creds.

When did you apply? The class can be full and they cannot accept anymore students. I think you will get in to SAS…Have some faith!!

On the website it says that you must have completed Cal, Stat, Financial and Mang. Acct and a B or better must be earned in these classes. There must be something missing and that is why you got rejected. I think your stats are great. Good luck!!

Deadkennedys1551, do you have your Associates? If not why didn’t you just graduate?

Mytwosons has a point also. Did you complete the requirements?

Business school is probably full. I’m pretty sure you will get into SAS and whatever you didn’t finish (?) you will complete there then apply again. Which would be another year… considering the only accept fall applicants.

I’m graduating in May with my Associates… I kinda knew I wasn’t going to get accepted to the Business School … My major is a social science so my first choice is SAS… I’ve completed all the requirements and more… I was thinking maybe it was because they looked at the wrong transcripts ( I applied last year with 12 credits and a 4.0 GPA but was rejected from all three school) I called admissions and they said they go the right ones …I’m just at a lost right now … Maybe it was because I failed a class over the summer(personal issues) but I took it again in the fall and got a A- in it. … I’m A PTK member I just don’t know why … I already started looking to applying to other schools … I just wish they would tell me why

I just have to get in the mindset that I won’t get in … I can’t get my hopes up again … I’ll let you guys know If I get in … Waitlisted get their decisions on May 1st

Still no word.

I’m transferring from another 4-year school, with a 3.01 GPA and 32 credits (44 credits if you consider my semester abroad).

I applied late because I had just came back from studying abroad in Spain, and I had less time to complete the application. I’m worried that my late application will get be waitlisted or even worse rejection.

I also only applied to Rutgers. If I don’t get in I’m f**ked.

I got in!!!

New Brunswick here I come!!!

@soccerguy1990 what kind of scholarship are you referring to? I applied to the SAS Honors (currently attending Newark Honors, GPA 3.8-31 credits). I thought the scholarships were only for freshmen, but it would be great, if I don’t loose my financial aid, that I’m receiving at RU Newark!

It is called Phi Theta Kappa scholarship and only community college students with an A.A or A.S with a minimum GPA of 3.8 are qualified.(I had a 4.0) I transferred to Rutgers as a Junior (61 credits accepted) and received 4k/semester for my next 2 years at Rutgers.
