OFFICIAL Rutgers SPRING 2012 Transfer

I took a tour and the Busch Campus is my first choice. I don’t know why it just is. I felt a click and connection.

Please, everyone, let us know when you get info on ypur Star Days. I’m freaking out as well about that. I’m excited though. I want to pick classes already!

I’m just realizing this now. They gave us 3 email addresses lol? ? I can’t even find out how to use the cool one @rutgers.edu. College Ave. is my first choice but that has nothing to do with me being a bio major lol. I just wanna drink on weekends. and bottle i still havent gotten any evals.

I think this is how you can check if you have your transfer credit evaluation. I was able to check the one for newark.

Undergraduate Admissions Forms;

@scienceguy1. AHHAAH that is exactly what I was thinking. I wanted to use the one with the… @rutgers.edu LOL

Yeah we have one that is
…@rutgers.edu
…@scarletmail.rutgers.edu
…@eden.rutgers.edu (i think).

i am transferring from a community college (with 60+ credits which is a waste. oh well!). I got my initial credit eval, but when i clicked that link it said no eval on file, so i guess it isn’t the finalized one.

college ave is my first choice too for the same reason lol. i want to drink & go out on weekends too, afraid busch will be too boring lol. i just don’t want to get distracted during the week. hoping ill be ok studying during the week/partying on the weekends at college ave lol

Yeah I don’t think that’s the official one. You have to get an email from them.

just realized it was for camden!

LOL hahaha. I got one too from Newark. Anyway, lets keep each other’s posted. :)

“To help ease your concerns about transitioning to Rutgers University, all incoming students are encouraged to attend the Orientation in January. Please note: This program does not include class registration or academic advising. The Spring New Student Orientation will take place on Wednesday, January 11th, 2012 in the Livingston Student Center on the Livingston Campus in Piscataway, NJ”

Isn’t a star day date but whatevs, who else is going to this? Ps of you didnt get this I was emailed this with the date I didnt take it from a website.

Just got it too.

I think this email is about NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION. NOT STAR DAYS. It is NOT mandatory I think.

So when is this stars day? I got the letter today but when is the actual day?
Stars day is when we do the scheduling?

lisa, what did u get a letter about?
I think they will email us the date of the STAR day as well as the transcript evaluation.

Yes, we register for classes on STAR day.

Ok, so they give two star days. Jan 10th and 12th. Check in is 8:30am-9:00am.
You have to go online and save a spot. I did it for the 10th.
The mail included your transcripts, and next to some of the classes they asked you to bring maybe a course description or syllabus to see if the courses are equivalent.

Btw, I signed up for housing awhile ago. When do we know if we got a room?

Awesome maybe we’ll get ours soon too! Housing will be under the housing thing when you log in I haven’t gotten mine assigned but it’s a lottery

Is getting housing that hard?
I feel like they do everything so last minute.
How are we supposed to find a place to live if they tell us so late

Ok, so you got the STAR days and your transcript evaluation via letter mail?

Yes, they give you a whole packet and you’re supposed to bring that on star day

Thanks a lot Lisa!

People are in hotel rooms Lisa lol, I know everything is really god damn late lol. We should hear back with in a week or two whether we got housing. We should get housing though, there aren’t many freshman applying to the university overall.
