I agree with ashawty. You are going to get in if there is any spots available. Your stats are amazing.

I really hope so! I’m going to school in Florida now and I’m from NJ and I hate being so far away. I’m getting nervous because I applied over 2 months ago and still haven’t heard anything. I’ll hear by December 9th I was just hoping it would be sooner!

so i checked out my newark transcript evaluation and it turns out that the classes that didn’t show up were the out-of-state online ones i took concurrently with in-state ones (i don’t know if that’s allowed). i’m worried that NB might evaluate it the same way, since their transfer policy is more strict. has anyone else gone through the same dilemma?

Online classes probably won’t transfer. Especially if the are required for your major.

EVERYONE please post on this thread if you have received your transfer credit evaluation for the NEW BRUNSWICK campus and the date of the STAR day. It is December already.

AND if you have received housing!

@bottlecap1990

did you receive yours yet?

I received the one from Newark. NOT from New Brunswick.

I haven’t gotten my Star Days yet. I’m a spring transfer to the New Brunswick campus. I’ll be majoring in the biological sciences.

Hey kchris, I am also a spring transfer majoring in biological sciences. What classes are you planning on taking for the spring?

So what’s up with this term bill crap? I go to pay it and there isn’t a balance( because I haven’t signed up for any credits) but it’s due the 6th of jan yet we probably won’t even have a star day by then lol

haha i’m guessing that’s just for current students. i really hope STAR day doesn’t fall on the first week because i’ll be away on a trip.

BTW, i called the transfer center and they said they would be sending transcript evaluations shortly, if anyone’s curious. i don’t know what their definition of “shortly” is though =P

Hell yeah I can’t wait to find out the star day as well as if I get the scholarship or not. They the will let me know if I get the scholarship together with the transcript

You will bottle

Hi everyone!

So im and OOS CC student, im originally a jersey girl but had to move to Florida either way i graduated HS and did CC because my HS scores were pretty mediocre. 3.0 and 1670 on my SATs

Now im looking to move back home and apply to Rutgers SAS-Newark in fall 2012
i have a 3.7 GPA with 38 credits.

im also not sure whether my credits will even be transferred since they’re OOS.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

@Science1guy:
Thanks, I hope so!

@Vcc girl
Why don’t you apply to SAS in NB? You have a great chance with that GPA. Also, generally your classes will transfer if they are equivalent to the ones taught at Rutgers and if they are NOT remedials.

@bottle You think so? I was a little discouraged and sorta aimed for lower. Thanks for the help!

@Vcc

I am 100% sure you can get into SAS in NB.

I’m a spring transfer, bio major too. I got my credit eval about a week ago. The admissions office told me star days aren’t until January, which freaks me out. I just want to pick classes! lol.
To the other bio majors, what campus are you planning on dorming on? I’m still having a hard time deciding on this, personally. lol

wait… rugirl13, YOU GOT YOUR EVALUATION ALREADY? for the NEW BRUNSWICK CAMPUS? Did you get it via email?

Also did you transfer from a community college in jersey?

sorry for asking so many questions lol.
