do u guys think the formulas at the back of Barrons are sufficient enough for tomorrow?
For Barron’s? pg 187? in Pg 187 the questions start from #11… you ust have a different edition from mine.
Write out the question here?
@sdw8253 @frigidcold @juicymango can someone explain me #46 on barons practice test 6?
@APScholar18 The exponent are a geometric series. Use the formula a/1-r to get the sum. Put 3 to the power of the sum.
@Frigidcold can you work it out? Sorry I am really confused on this one.
@Frigidcold on #47 how do you know that the temperature is increased 3.4 for each additional chirp?
@APScholar18 1/3,1/6, 1/12
a/1-r (a=initial, r=factor)
= (1/3)/1-(1/2) = 2/3
3^(2/3) = 2.1
Because the number of chirps per minute has a coefficient of 3.4…
Can someone please send me a pic of the answer table and scoring sheet for the Math 2 test in the Official College Board book? I already did the test, but can’t find the answers so this would be much appreciated.
Ah thanks @Frigidcold
what do you guys think is the best thing to do before test day?
1)Take a hard practice test --> makes the real test seem really easy
2)Take an easy practice test --> boosts confidence
Can a 620 on Barron’s SAT Math II be considered a decent enough score to break 700?
This is my first try by the way. I am yet to begin the SAT II practice test from College Board’s prep book?
LOL I got a 580 on my diagnostic test and a 580 on the model test.
@ruanoeduardo For barrons add about a 100 points to your score
@SternBusiness you have any tips for tomorrow? Should I worry bout those lateral area formulas? Are the formulas that Barrons gives at the back sufficient?
Go into the test knowing that if you studied Barrons, and you got about 600-650 on their practice tests, you will in all likelihood break 700. I think that you should think about those lateral area formulas if you are struggling with them. I think that those formulas on the back of Barrons are sufficient for tomorrow.
Honestly rush(move quickly but accurately) through the first 40 questions. As soon as I got to this threshold the questions became much more difficult. I left one blank from 0-40 and then two blank from 40-50. I got an 800 in the end, but was worried as I had trouble with the last 10.
There was only 1 question that I remember involving lateral area. Make sure you just know every formula their is, because most of them you will be tested on, and the majority of the time it is just knowing a formula or trick in order to answer the question.
This is good review.
On my Math 2, On Barrons test 1 I got 21 questions correct, then I took CB blue book and got a 700, then did Barrons Test 2 and got 25 right…How screwed am I? (Goal is 760+)
IF you took a CB and got a 700, then you could be kinda screwed unless you perform better in tense testing situations.
If the test tomorrow doesn’t go as planned I always have November! (I am not sending these to colleges unless I do well, even if it costs me money)
