I just back solved for |40e^-.1t cos(2t)| = 20
I got 6.44?
@solarroxx yup
I got b/a for the perpendicular one
what was the flagpole? why wasnt it 40?
I looked up intersecting circle question on the interwebz and it said it was circle and point
No matter the answer is a/b or b/a when it times to the coefficient of x you have to get -1.
@ypmagic I just plugged the original equation into Y1 and made my table go in intervals of 10,000 and saw that the relationship was 2x+3 from the data values.
@solarroxx was the choice to that c?
what was the complex number question?
@solarroxx Quadrant IV.
flagpole? anyone?
2x+3 was the slant asymptote of the rational function, thats why it aproaches that.
@ypmagic yep, the slope of the line was -3
I got 40 something… I set up two tan equations to find the side.
i think I got the flag pole one right and I have an explanation, but I need to know the exact question again
flagpole was 47.32
What it asking for the height of the flagpole or how far away the spotlight was?
The flagpole was set up an equation. If the whole distance is, x, say, then the distance from the tan60 angle is x-20. Then you set up the equation Tan45 = y/x (y being the height) and tan60 = y/(x-20), make the two equations equal to each other, solve for x, and plug it back into the equation to get y, the height. I don’t remember what I put but I’m confident that that’s the right methodology.
What was the complex number question? No clue what it was so can’t remember what i put
