Hey to whoever has the Barrons book, can you please go to model test 6 and look at the question two explanation cause I think there’s an error in the book. Why is it finding the probability of the sum being less than 5 when the question is asking for the sum greater than 4? Wow another error… Number 26 should be B although they put the answer as E. Can someone please verify?
^Both are definite errors. I also found those when going through the test, a bit annoying -_-.
One more thing. On the Barron’s Tests sometimes I make a wild guess rather than omit it. On the test would you recommend ommitting anything you dont know rather than taking a chance.
If you can get the question down to 2 choices I would guess. Does anyone know which prep book has the most accurate tests besides Barrons and the CollegeBoard?
Aren’t the official study guide tests previously administered SATs? I think the reason why people say the practice exams are “easier” than the real test not because of the question difficulty, but because of the environment change.
For the Barrons book, is there a scoring guideline? I couldn’t find one. It just said that any score above 44/50 was an 800. This is because i got 4 wrong, and I omitted 3. I’d just like to know what my score would be. Thanks in advance!
@meaa7130 There is no specific curve for the score. For barron book they stick to 44 raw score and above for 800. Use the formula they given you to predict the scaled score from the raw score.
@dopefresh What would a 42 be?
Hello all,
I took another practice test from Chung and this time I got a 720 ( -3, 9 omit) On the previous ones I got 680, 690
but on the two released/official practice tests from Collegeboard, I got 800 on both (first one 3 miss, 0 omit, Second: 3 miss 3 omit)
I barely got a 800 on the second released test(meaning, if I missed/omitted one more, I would’ve gotten a 790).
I NEED a 800 and I’m afraid I won’t on the real one since the released tests are supposed to be easier than the real one.
Anyone perfect scorers on the math 2 know how to correlate the practice tests from Chung’s to the real one? Thank you!!!
If you got a 720 on Chungs you are fine and know your stuff. Just relax and make sure you have a good test day because thats what it will come down to.
Anybody know about how much Three-Dimensional Geometry will be on it??? I really don’t have enough time to memorize all the formulas…
@meaa7130 It’s around 780 according to the score conversion table for the CB released test. But it also depend on the curve each time the test is administer.
@SternBusiness Thanks!
I took another Chung’s practice test and I got a 750 =D I hope the real test is MUCH easier than chung’s >_>
My daughter has taken practice test from College Bard book and Princeton Review books. She didn’t do very well so she studied and now wants to take more practice tests. However, it’s now too late to order any books. I searched and found some pdf files (McGraw-Hill’s 2nd edition, 2009). My question is: Is this edition too old to use? Also, is there any other practice tests available online?
@4beardolls That version should be fine. If she’s doing consistently badly, maybe have her read through the material one more time? You could also always retake the practice tests, I doubt she remembers every question. If you’re really desperate, you can go a book store (they still exist right?) or library tomorrow. Additionally, there’s overnight shipping.
Got 800 in the Official CollegeBoard book. I’m incredulous as to how easy it was, finished in 35 minutes.
Thanks, @frigidcold. Retaking is a good idea. The library copies are all out. The bookstore only carry the ones she already took.
Is there any other practice tests online?
What would a raw score of 36 on Barrons be?
@meaa7130 Using Collegeboard’s curve, a raw score of 36 would be a 710.
I took an UNTIMED Barron’s test (Test #1), and I got 41 correct, 3 wrong, and 6 omit, which should, if my calculations are correct, be a 40 raw score, which is a 760, though to be on the safe side I got two problems correct that I didn’t completely understand how to do, so I’ll give myself a raw score of 38, which is a 740. With a 740-760 on Barron’s, how close am I to achieving an 800 on Math II?
Previously I got a 750 on the Official Collegeboard test (also untimed) with NO PREP. I have only done that test plus this test.
