How come it seems like half the people who took this test got an 800?
Only on CC do you see people say “oh noes 790 my life is over.”. Grow up many people would kill just to get your scores
- Definitely content with that....Better than my SAT Math score at least.
@Dorfdude8: It only sucks when you literally spent all your free time for the past month studying from the Barrons prep book ,meticulously reviewing your wrong answers on practice tests, and memorizing a bunch of formulas only to be one question from the golden standard.
740, same as my SAT reasoning test score.
I was never a strong math student and I’m struggling a bit with math in school currently. Really was depending on doing well on this test so I could prove to colleges that I’m not that terrible — I need honest advice, if I’m applying to a couple of Ivies, do you think I should retake?
Nah, that’s a commendable score for anyone – particularly if you’re not a mathematically-minded student. I definitely think it’d support your application and shouldn’t raise any red flags, so long as you’re not claiming to win AMCs or something.
HAHAHA my dream school is Yale…
Got 800, now my mom is gonna pay me a graphics card and a set of cross-dressing supplies.
@JuicyMango Cuz CC doesn’t represent the population who takes MATH 2 as a whole. Only whom cares about themselves signs up for a CC membership.
800 here. For anybody taking the exam without a graphing calculator, don’t worry much about it. Just make sure that you have a good command over calculus
@JuicyMango Honestly curious, no bs, is there a reason why you felt like doing that much prep? I took both practice tests in the “Official Collegeboard Math Levels 1 and 2” (for level 2, obv.) a week before the test and got an 800. I feel like this is a test that tests competency in mathematics that is developed over a period of time, not really something you can study for? (Unless you saw drastic improvements during your Barron’s run, to which I stand corrected).
800! Awesome
@kyuutoryuu: I skipped Pre-Calculus which really impended me in terms of basic mathematical concept and so I had to learn all of that in a shorter period of time which in turn caused me to have limited knowledge of those essential topics.
800
I felt bad walking out of the test after leaving 2/3 blank (I didn’t have enough time to go back to them) so this was better than I was expecting.
Didn’t use my calc too much, but graphing > scientific. Please bring a graphing calculator. I love my little Casio but you’re putting yourself at a disadvantage if you aren’t using a graphing calculator.
Curve is quite massive, so skip questions! I never skip, but I did and it worked out. Better to give up a point if you aren’t terribly sure than to guess and basically lose another point if you get 2 wrong.
Do recommend practicing because 50 q in 60 minutes is probably something you don’t do too often.
Cheers, everyone!
Top 10% is basically 800.
@JuicyMango 790 with no Precalc? You’re a god LOL
My son (rising junior) got 800 in Math2 and Chemistry. As per 2013 stats, top 15% get 800 in Math. Any score above 750 should be good enough for top colleges, I believe key is to practice and avoid silly mistakes.
- I love my scientific calculators.
Just checked and got my 800. I got a horrible score (650 didn’t study) in Bio M. Is it possible to only send my Math II score?
800!
