- This test is a joke. Should make it more difficult.
@SternBusiness I probably could, but I would rather put my time towards the AMCs or USABO, rather than studying for a test that I have already aced.
If anyone else is wondering how to keep your score, you have to write a letter to The College Board SAT Program
Attention: Talent Search Scores.

@emersonballer21 That will offend a lot of people. If you want a more difficult test, go for the International Olympiad or something. This is a STANDARDIZED test.
@emersonballer21 try being a little humble. I’m good at math and I scored a 770 because I have testing anxiety (looking back, I could probably solve all of my wrong answers no sweat). Just because you’re good at math and you perform well on Saturday mornings doesn’t mean you can toot your own horn.
I don’t think they should make it more difficult; but, i do think they should have a stricter curve. they should commend those who get perfect scores. getting 4-6 wrong shouldn’t be the same as 0 wrong. I think i got 1 omit and rest right and my percentile is gonna be around 81%, which is disgusting. it shouldn’t be that 15-20% of takers get a “perfect” score.
@baller55 yes. A lot of people do get 800s. However, very few people (you know, relatively) get the little 10 to 20 point intervals from 700-800. The scores typically peak at around 690. This isn’t the most generous curve on a test either. Several history tests allow you to miss up to 15-20 and still get an 800. By all means, this curve is generous, but not outrageous. It really depends on the difficulty of the test and how everyone else did in comparison to each other.
@baller55 Then no one will bother to take the Math 2 any more and will just stick to the Math 1.
800! Was expecting low to mid 700s but damn!
800, as expected, but good start to my morning.
@Synonyms thats not true. theres obviously something wrong if 19% of takers are getting the highest possible score. There is no standardization that way. What happened to the normal bell curve? They need to make it so that getting an 800 is a difficult task.
Curve does look too generous. Less than 10% should get 800 like sciences.
700, im an aspiring business major should I retake it I also got a 750 on history math is a weakness should I keep my score if I apply to Babson and Bentley
Will a 790 on math 2 and 750 on physics ruin my chances at an Ivy? Thanks
@baller85 - are you naturally good at creative endeavors? Socially? Athletically? How would you like it if someone performed better at you in one of those activities and then downplayed the difficulty and said that anything less would be “disgusting”.
You’ve really got a lot to learn regardless of what this test tells you.
@55a100m
no, you are fine.
If you really think those scores will hurt your chances at an Ivy, I question your common sense. You need a reality shift.
@rubberfall half of this thread has 800’s
Got a 770 lol…I don’t feel like taking the test anymore. However pretty sure I omitted two while everything else was right…was there a harsher curve??
@mylifeisgone195 According to people it was a 44.
@PercyFowl 44 for an 800? Darn
