Official Sept. 16 ACT Reflection

Science was esp gay

what about reading, do you remember some questions? any?

the only thing i remember was the whirlwind passage and that the tomatoes answer was the right one for one of them...and that brevity was an answer for the japanese one

If I remember correctly, the passages were: Spanish kids, Japanese poet, some environmental tihng, and the whirlwind. None of them were easy for me.

o yea the spanish kids one was harder than the whirlwind one to me

the english score is used in your composite....not your combined writing/english test score right?

Brevity as an answer? I thought that was discussed earlier on here and that wasn't the answer. Which question was it?

I remember brevity as an answer choice for two problems with the Japanese poem though, one with brevity by itself as an answer and another with it in a sentence as an answer choice.

I think I put "comprehensible" for the tiny seed question..but not sure.

o if brevity is not the answer then sorry...what was the answer then....

Yeah I put comprehensible but I'm not sure if it was the tiny seed question. It was something about how the poem was so evocative it needed no explanation or something like that.

Did anyone finish science with like 7 min remaining

wait were brevity and comprehensible even the same question

I'm not sure, but I don't think brevity by itself was an answer.

so right now i think im might be headed for a: 31 composite

E:32
M:31
R:33
S:26

how come everyone put comprehensible. I though evocative meant more like imaginative

what happened to science? wasn't it kinda easy? I mean I wasn't good at science in my practice tests, but I thought this one was easy. Especially that phase diagram one (I was so happy).

evoke- [i-vohk]to produce or suggest through artistry and imagination a vivid impression of reality: a short passage that manages to evoke the smells, colors, sounds, and shapes of that metropolis.

from dictionary.com

i didnt put that as a choice....i put brevity which i think is wrong.....imaginative would certainly fit

ok here's what I think I put: evocative-brevity & tiny seed-comprehensible.

science was not for me....i ran out of time...i think i did good on everything except the last passage
