Official Sept. 16 ACT Reflection

anyone else wanna guess what they got....

im guessing 32 or 33....though a 34 would be SWEET.........but....maybe im being too optimistic....

i think i got like a 37 or maybe a 38.... ;)

yea i def got a 40

I actually fell asleep after the first section (english I think) like I have everytime. I get a nice 15 min or so nap before the other sections start.
This was my fourth time taking it...29, 30, 32....and ....hopefully above 32? We'll see tomorrow. I know it seems absurd to have taken it a 4th time, but I've never done any studying, but my scores have gone up each time, so i figure why not keep taking it? My parents encouraged me to, and it's only one sat. morning and friday the night before that I'm missing out on...in the grand scheme of things, if it helps me get into the college of my choice, then I'm fine with it....even just one or two points.

(crosses fingers)

you are blessed..fall asleep and still get a 32...i envy you SO much

I will be really happy if I get a 28-29, but I will probably end up with like a 26-27.:(

sorry to revive this thread but omg. this ****es me off soooo much. had i read this thread i would not have gotten two math questions wrong. for those of you who did take the sept 16/dec 10 act here's what i got for certain questions in debate:

building shadow: 75 (wrong)
factor polynomial (a+b) (wrong)

english:
i chose one with past but i cant remember which one
i def chose radiates
there was also a tricky one like "blah blah blah, often ending in blah blah blah" i put "no change" - is this correct or was the comma misplaced?

reading is the scariest one for me:
one about growth thingys i cant remember if i put largely successful but not without problems or widely varied but oo often ineffective
for the whirlwind one (my favorite one cuz i have this morbid fascination with tornadoes) i put condensation as the one that does not directly affect it; convection has something to do with air movement and thus does direct it
also my memory is a mumble jumble with the tia mimi and mamita questions cuz i totally dont remember wut i put xcept for a few (tho the grandparents question, that was to give backgroun about her grandparents, right?)
and the poetry (which i thought was easy) i chose figurative as the answer to evocative and i chose that the author chose these poems for their conciseness (tho was unsure cuz there was an option like "b/c these are written in traditional style")

p.s. reading is usually one of my best subjects so this is quite odd

so far science seems to be okey dokey (did anyone else get two "disproves scientest 2"?)

so for all y'all who took the sept act please let me know what you got for these questions and your scores. fingers crossed for when scores come out on tuesday. and tho i respect act this was a really bad idea. kids who heard about their friends answers who took the sept 16 act had somewhat of an unfair advantage (e.g. had i read this thread i would have known two answers when i started the test: 46, and 2a+b, and the solution set one. dammit i treated one of the questions as a geometric sequence when i shouldve treated it as an arithmetic sequence!

ok enough ranting. answers requested. thanks to all who respond :)

bump!10char

bumpers: reeeeeely curious. (i think im gonna blackmail act and tell them that im gonna tell the press about this and that they must give me a better score. hahahahahaha) ok that was weird. :p

i got a 35 or 36.

ebuckets i did not ask for your score. and btw, even though you knew some of the answers you did not know all of them. im not hating im just saying: try to be realistic. sure, i'd love a 36, in fact i had a dream about getting one (funny story, in my dream, on math i got a 60/61!), but i have to face reality and realize that it's more impossible than possible. if u can enlighten me with answers that you are 99% sure are correct for the questions i had, then by all means submit those. again, just please try to stay on topic. tank you.

Do you really expect people to remember answers to a test they took 3 months ago?

perhaps not. but there are some people with very good memories out there. plus the questions might trigger something in som people's minds. a pretty shoddy arguement, but i can still hope cant i? so yea. ultimately, though, what i get is what i get. tuesday is too far away for my comfort :p. we'll see what happpens.

Hey trying to be cool,,

arent the questions you listed from the September ACT? The December test had different questions so why are you posting and asking about september act? i'm confused..

i took the dec sunday test and they were the exact same mc tests! it's outrageous!

OMG!! DAMN ITTTTT!

Oh well,, :(

i ahd the same reaction. don't worry. ebuckets just got lucky (though im sure he could have done werll without knowing the answers).
