Low 35s in red book with about 20% time left over in all sections. Will use that to check answers carefully on actual test… but i get 36s in math and science so idk what good that is. Think i can hit a 36? Or is it luck at this point.

GUYS THIS IS IMPORTANT AND I NEED HELP.
can an ACT score without WRITING be submitted to top tier colleges such as harvard? So far i’ve taken two acts… one with 33 composite and 9 on essay. another with 35 composite and no essay. today i heard you can’t even submit an act score without writing in one sitting and thus my 35 is complete useless junk. now i’m about to panic does anybody know an answer to this?

Dayum Chris. I’m pretty sure most top tier schools require writing… Have you checked on whether or not you can super score, thus including your 9 in writing with your 35?

When do the scores come out exactly? For the SAT they come out at 5 or 6 AM EST; is it the same way for the ACT?

I like looking at everybody who’s complaining about getting like a 33. I got a 26! I am trying to get a 30 or above. This is my 4th time. I got a 22, 26, 26. I am currently using the Red book and Barrons 36 to study. Ive only taken 1 practice test like 3 weeks ago and got a 28 without reading the books. Reading is my downfall (The highest Ive gotten in reading is a 23!)

My D’13 is retaking the ACT in Sept. She got a 31 last spring. Looking for a 33+ this time. Reading is her strong point. Between practices and actual test she has scored 33,31,36,35 in reading. She is taking online princeton review prep.

Got a 30 in February, trying for a 32…

man lets keep this thread going people.

so its the last week before the test… what do you usually do?

What kind of studying are you doing now?

Since it is approximately a week before the test, are you guys doing as many practice

tests as you can?

I just bought all series of Red Books (already done on 1296 ACTs and McGraw Hill 10

ACT). How can I use those Red Books and what is the best way to utilize them?

Is the Real ACT prep guide a good book, or are there better ones out there?

This will be my first, and hopefully last, time taking the ACT since I’m a senior. Been studying since July and just taking lots of practice tests till next week. Aiming for a 32, but I will be happy with at least a 30.
I have a question though.
The science questions on the Princeton 1296 book are kinda hard, is that like the science on the real test? Im comfortable with my other sections, just trying to nail the science.

I got a 34 in June, hoping to get a 35 or 36 this time around. I’ve just been using the red book for the practice exams. My lowest in June was a 31 in science, which I know I can improve.

njordaer,

Last time I took the test the results came out 10pm PST.
Got a 30 my first/last time and hoping for a 32+ this time!

Got a 34 on McGraw-Hill… probably should not be starting practice tests a week before.
Gah I want a 35 so badly!

McGraw Hill to me seemed significantly too easy.
I can easily get over 34+ on the McGraw Hills…
However, out of the Real ACT (red book) and booklets… I am now at the 30 range… give or take a point. Can’t seem to get that 32+

i studied using ACT booklets/red book/1296 PR/1997 official ACT book

Hoping to get at least a 32 this time around…

Hello!

I currently own Red Books series, 1296 ACT, and McGraw Hill 10 ACT.

When I do the practice tests in those books, I just go over the problems I guessed

and incorrectly answered…

How do you utilize those books? Do you have any tips as to increase efficiency of those

ACT practice books?

To those using the 1,296 Practice ACT Questions book… Did you find the practice tests easier than the actual tests?

Thought id revive this a little bit xD so ready for saturday!

Just took my final practice test!! Got a 35! I really hope this carries over into Saturday

What do you usually eat the morning of the act?
