@sonpat Do you know if HPME is also supposed to be released today? I got a response from Northwestern, but not the HPME program.
Northwestern results came out via email about 10 mins ago. I am in. Also updated on portal. Just the UG admission. No update on HPME yet.

Accepted to NW and very grateful!!! But does anyone know if there is any correlation between Accepted/Waitlisted/Rejected applicants and their admission to HPME?
@tunetheday is there any source to verify that a waitlist/rejection = no HPME?

You have to be admitted to NW undergrad in order to be admitted to HPME. Additionally, NW historically often wait lists or doesnāt accept the most competitive students that pass on HPME because of the assumption that those students are only applying to NW due to their interest in the HPME program. The HPME even tells applicants who had to withdraw because they couldnāt make it to the interview, that they need to reach out to the UG admissions office if they are still interested in NW UG alone.

NW sent a letter asking everyone who applied to HPME to commit to NW whether they were not interviewed or interviewed. If you did not respond and you didnāt make to HPME, you will automatically be waitlisted.

There are 3 schools you need to be clear with their process and make some judgement. NW, CWRU and Boston.
NW and CWRU, clearly communicate to applicants after the interview decision for BS/MD program if they are not invited, applicant must reach out to UG to indicate that they are interested to be considered for UG. In Boston, you will NOT get any notification since their process informs upfront that you application will be considered only for the program you have applied like BS/MD program. So applicant need to call BU UG office and inform verbally that you want to be considered for UG and then they will change the status and the portal will reflect. Chances are some times students forget, wish BU also does send email like NW and CWRU to remind.
Now the unknown part, more from here say. Some of these schools think the pre-interview rejected students are possible candidates for other BS/MD programs and their yield will go down if offered UG admission. There is no factual evidence. But personally disagree if these school look that way. There is nothing wrong for students to get UG admission to pursue pre-med. My D rejected for NW UG and wait listed for CWRU and BU yet to be known. But life goes on.
FYI. Remember 1 parent told they made a decision not to apply to BU BS/MD for this reason and since his child was very keen on BU to join UG in case if he did not get any BS/MD program. His child had a very good record and went for interview to Miami HPME and Drexel, TCNJ/NJMS etc but still opted not to apply to BU BS/MD.
When should HPME results come out?
Hi guys, I was invited to have an interview for Stony Brookās Scholars for Medicine program, was j wondering what kind of questions should I ask? Iāve heard that interviewers like to hear questions so that itās more of a two way convo, but i think i really know a lot about the program already just from doing research online
@anymiffkit One thing that worked well for me was asking questions based on what I had learnt during the information session/tours. Also, if you type up something like āthings to ask interviewers during med school interviewsā on Google, you will find great questions to ask faculty members or student interviewers. When I couldnāt recall the questions I wanted to ask (i was so nervous lol), I just asked them about their experience at the school. Also, I donāt think itās a good idea to ask any questions that can seem negative. When I was interviewing for a certain program, during a group discussion someone asked the students what they donāt like about the school. At the schools I interviewed at, I ended up with emails of so many students. I think once you actually get into the program, you can ask honest questions, but before then ask things that will allow them to paint both you and them in the best light.
University of Oklahoma Medical Humanities Scholars staff sent an email to congratulate my DD on her acceptance into the interview round of the selection process for their 8-year BA/MD program. Interviews are set for Friday, 3/25/2016, and Monday, 3/28/2016. Anybody else here being interviewed for the OU BA/MD program?
I was interviewed for HPME, but rejected (not waitlisted) by NW undergrad. Obviously this means that I did not get into HPME, but Iām confused as to why I was not waitlisted since I even sent NW admissions an email that Iād be interested regardless of HPME decision (maybe they didnāt see it in time).

@GoldenRock My S was interviewed for HPME but rejected for NW UG. Like you suggested, after interview we had a feeling that if he is not selected he will not get UG too. Its basically because the interviewer trys to understand your passion for Med and HPME program and makes the connection.

Both Brown and Columbia are supposed to be on Ivy day on 31st. Both have been issuing likelies though.
