Official thread october sat 2013 test

i hope this is my last time need to take the sat…

@20Summer08

I put that as 7.11.

are you guys sure it was 64/9? because I read the question as the big circle having a radius of 5 and got 25/9

I put 25/9 and im pretty sure that it is right. AD or whatever had radius 5 the other one had radius 3

Here are those I chose differently than @Harvarddreams

 1. studies in Suriname were -> more problematic -> what other choices were here??
 2. Casual look -> superficial (not spontaneous) what else was there, does anyone remember?
 3. Nomadic lifestyle (I chose acquisitive :<)

Who is most like the unconverted? → culturally literate → i chose something that was located in the Passage 1, somewhere at the very start, anyone remembers?

hold TV Orchestras → support → I chose “hold up”

Question about what would author of passage 2 say about death of classical music →
ongoing but not ominous

Author of passage 2 agrees with 1 because happiness doesn’t last, I think I chose something about happiness being the same as pleasure? I don’t know if it was that question.

“stilted…affectation” → here I chose “emotive”

“sanguine… resilience” correct → what was this sentence

There was one of the multiple choice questions that went like this: my cousin and I … center of the city… lived … her and I

I know the way i wrote it is not understandable but does anyone remember the question and you got

Death is kind and quick. What…

Also on the math one that said
-5 <= x <= something
1 < y < 5
What is the least integer value for x/y?

-2, right?

her and i im pretty sure. should have been we because her is not objective case

@Lalibjutab i think i put “her and i” as the answer for the writing section

What question was the answer 64/9 for?

it was 64/9. ab (radius of inner circle) was 3, bc (connected to ab) was 5. so the entire circle had a radius of 8, giving 64/9

It was -2. -5 over any of the integers would have not have had an integer <-1. -4 when plugged in over 2 would be -2. -4 was not an integer possibility.

for the parallelogram with a parallelogram inside it was it 1/3

@rishabc yes, I got -2

i got -2 also

@ ethanking i put that too

and yeah and what was the death is kind and quick… choices were like hypothetical, exaggeration, emotional appeal, etc…

does anyone know

@icy, i’m pretty sure that it was 64/9. The big circle had a radius of 8, the 5 was just a section of it

Lalibjurab…
I put her and I

FOR THE MATH EXPERIMENTAL SECTION TEST

 • Which math section was the experimental?
 • What what was the answer to the question with points A B C D on a line, and there were 3 choices, which one COULD be true?
 • What was the answer to the GRAMMAR question 29, was it A. Proceed vs Precede or C. In praise of?

@Lalibjutab i think exaggeration
