Official thread october sat 2013 test

Did anyone put for the Spanish painters, trace the history of guilds (A), or effects of views on the painting (E)?

@dirtysocks45
I got that too because it was 2/6
simplified to 1/3

i got 1/3 for the parallelogram

I said E views on painting.

waddup: proceeded is not a word able to be used in that context. You can say “he proceeded forward” but you can’t say “x proceeded y”. It’s a diction error.

For essay, I made up a pharmaceutical company called Apromed and said that it created methicillin. As a result of the content with their work and their failure to further research into the correct usage, methicillin resistant staph aureus resulted. Complete BS but that’s what the essay is.
I also used steve jobs and how he would never stand for anything less than perfect and thus he revolutionized the personal computer and designer interface of multiple devices

@redroy i got one no error in a question about raising money, another no error in a sentence about a river flowing, and another no error in a sentence about whether some thing was a written language or not

Does anybody know the curve for this exam? :(

wait wait i got 1/2 for scatterplot

I got effects of views on painting

@waddupwaddup no dude! You didn’t isolate the region properly…there were 7 points that met the criteria and 5 below that didn’t making it 7/12

Your slope is also wrong…you were looking for a set which would yield a slope of 4. Using (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)=m given (r,s) as (x1, y1) respectively you would’ve produced 1/4 with the answer you posted. If I remember correctly, the answer was a to that problem so what? (r+1, s+4)?

Guys i had two 35 question writing sections… does that mean one of them is experimental?

What was the question for the inhospitable one? Was inhospitable the answer?

RoseOak, I thought the math was much easier than the June sat.

Dirtysocks, I answered 1/3

how about the shirt is priced at p after being priced 20% lower? was that 1.25p?

What was the second question on the Spanish painting thing?

@hellogloria i believe it would be average-good

What did you all put for the passage comparison of the chemical used crops for the food supply?

@collegegurl i also got 1.25 p. It was .8x=p, so (1/.8)p=x so 1.25p

there was a question in reading. compromise vs instigate (don’t remember the second choice)?

Did anyone else get back to back math sections? Section 3 and 4 were both math for me.
