Official thread october sat 2013 test

@jguskadoo I think i remember putting compromise

can someone confirm that scatterplot math question with sandwiches. i put 1/2 but im afraid i misread the question

@gnippaf-
I had the same test as you

^gnippaf yes i had back to back math sections as 3 and 4

I put provide a compromise.

For the essay, I used Tess of the D’Urbervilles.

For the “homely” question, I put domestic. Domestic can also mean household, and those sayings were passed down through generations, so…

Aethersky it’s 7/12

I’m pretty damn sure that proceed was an error. It was contextual. If someone wrote it down or remembers it word for word verbatim we can see. CB has been playing with homonyms a whole lot recently. Anyone want to comment on section 10 number 13 about the AM FM radio “former/latter” issue. The idioms that were options were not commonplace. One would say, in conversation for example that “the former is superior to the latter” or perhaps that “the former has a better signal than does the latter.” I chose E for that one which completely nicked CBs ****ty idioms…thoughts?

@insidious01-
one wrong in math is like a770 …

I chose E for that one and proceeded for 29 how bout the one with universal music?

Aethersky, mostly everyone’s been saying 7/12. I put 1/2. :(

Which section wa experimental?

I’m almost certain that the scatter plot was 1/2. 12 points satisfied the condition that there were at least so and so amount of sandwiches. About the soda condition, it asked how many satisfied sandwich condition and were OVER so and so amount of sodas, not AT LEAST so and so amount of sodas. This is the difference between 7/12 and 1/2.

does anyone remember the question with magurietta
was that a significant encoutner?

what was the 831 question

@jlee4001 I put E as well

I originally put 1/2, then saw that it said AT LEAST 20(or 25) salads and GREATER THAN 15 sandwiches, so another one was included

@Teethmarks what were the answer choices again? I don’t remember what I put but if someone would list them I could give a justification for my answer. I mean, I remember what the passage said.

was inhospitable the answer to the cr vocab question?

It said at least for sandwich, and over for sodas, so you need to include that point which was exactly 20, thus 7/12
