<p>Did anyone put 1/9 for the area comparison of parallelograms? The side lengths were at a 1:3 ratio so the ratio of the areas should have been 1:9 (square each number). I saw that in a book somewhere.</p>

<p>It was 1/3: Each of the mini triangles had the same height and base.</p>
<p>@difigueroa the problem didn’t say the picture was not to scale, meaning that it was. And there’s no way that that middle region was 1/9 of the entire figure.</p>

<p>@satsarecool EXACTLY DUDE! All these g.d. nitty gritty details. It was 7/12. If you drew a box around the area and followed the criteria you guys would’ve seen that there were 7 above the axis which fulfilled the requirements and 5 below that didn’t. As a matter of fact, one of the points was on the line and I don’t remember for which group I counted it because I don’t remember the exact criteria. There is no doubt that the answer is 7/12. Sorry guys</p>
