<p>I think he is just lying because of how he wrote it says “My account says: Awaiting FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid” </p>
<p>When really the online account is to check for documents that have been sent/should have been sent by a date. And FAFSA is not due until Feb.</p>

<p>A few weeks ago my account said the parent’s tax return was missing too… because I forgot to send them in… but I faxed them in, and it shows up with a green check mark now.</p>

<p>Hey guys, my tax form is in, along with the profile, according to my portal. I don’t have a “tab” for FAFSA but I have an x with “Additional Information Required” right next to it. I think this is the information the Office emailed my mom about and requested. In case any of you missed me talking about this email, it’s buried a couple pages. This thread moves fast. </p>
<p>Anyway, Office of Aid is still working on packages and will be even after EA results come in. They are still accepting applications for financial aid, so don’t worry. If you haven’t gotten anything about missing forms or you don’t have a “FAFSA tab” (okay, there are no tabs on the portal, what is this even), don’t stress out! Your package could be in the makes right now, or it might even be in the makes after you get a decision!
Think of your applications as individual (they really are); you aren’t all going to be on the same page and in the same stage. Some people are still missing forms. Some people might already have a package made. Some people might not have gotten to the Office of Aid yet (although that would imply that getting contacted by Office of Aid means you got in, and no one is saying that, nor should anyone say that). Have patience, which is easier said than done!</p>

<p>@CollectiveGood Everyone is just extremely nervous about the decisions, so we’re all just hyperanalyzing everything. None of these posters ever thought Uchicago would be “dumb enough to give an indication” just simply the nerves and agony and fear of the results next week…</p>
