rejected

It’s just updated. Waitlisted as well. You’re welcome Chicago.

Rejected too. Oh well

Rejected. I spent 300 hours working there over the summer, got a letter of recommendation from a teacher who was a former admissions officer at UChicago, and i still got rejected (great stats and ECs too). I guess I wasn’t enough of a hipster doosh. Oh well I got into Cornell. Ivy League>Chicago.

On the wait list. I wonder when we’ll get our final decisions… Did you all decide to stay on the list or remove yourselves from it?

rejected as well. I wasn’t hopeful about being accepted, waitlist would be good for me, but rejection is devastated :((

@springg1994 I haven’t got any acceptance yet so I just decided to remain on the list. But I’m sure if I got any acceptance I’ll remove myself immediately

Waitlisted! I’m honestly so happy - even though I know it’s near impossible to clear the list, there’s still a hypothetical chance!! It gives me hope for my other schools too… I haven’t heard back from anyone else yet, and UChicago was supposed to be my hardest one to get into.

waitlisted.

@CeaselessPain, judging by this thread, sure seems like Chicago does waitlist a lot of people. ugh

Did all decisions get released today or just some? I’m honestly afraid to check mine. I just got out of a final and have two more tomorrow. I was rejected from Northwestern this morning, and I honestly don’t know if I can handle two in one day. :(

Rejected because I did not submit my UChicago Supplement… Does that make any sense?

@MYOMOO What supplement? And how do you know that, did you call the admission office?

@gbmabuoc I mean the Common Application Supplement… I submited my UChicago Application on Mar 10…

@ILikeCheeseNWine or maybe we’re the only 5 on the wait list :)

Waitlisted as well… seems like Chicago is one of the school that give out lot of wailtlist decisions. I applied to as Econ major so I’m still grateful of the outcome. Perhaps, I can work much harder and try again next year. Congrats to those who got in! Do you know if waitlist has any chance of getting in?

@injustice I basically take wait list as rejection. Before you got to be top 5% of the whole pool to get in. Now you have to be top 5% (or even worse) of all those qualified students to get in. So It really is not a matter of qualification anymore. It’s about who has the best luck O:-) Damn why my other schools send decisions so late?!

@mkt289
According to these stats, it’s more like top 2%
<a href=“Transfer Acceptance Rates at US News Top 50 - Transferweb”>Transfer Acceptance Rates at US News Top 50 - Transferweb;

@mkt289 also I feel ya about waiting for other schools. still waiting to hear back from 7 here.

@ILikeCheeseNWine Wow that’s a lot! I only have four to go. But you’ve been accepted to Penn right? So you’ve already got choice! I’m holding two wait lists now and it feels really weird. It’s like those officers are grinning and teasing: “What are gonna do about this~what are you gonna do about this~”
