This just from the UCSB admissions twitter:

“UCSB Admissions @ucsbadmissions Mar 12 @NLODO Releasing Freshman decisions on 3/17 @ 3:00pm PST. Transfers will roll out in April. Decisions are posted on your applicant portal.”

Well that sucks looks like we have to wait til April!

“UCSB Admissions @ucsbadmissions Mar 6 @JasonC19996 Some will, but not all. We begin releasing transfer decisions on the 17th, but the majority come out in April.”

So now I’m just confuddled I’m guessing like 5% of transfer decisions will come out on the 17th and the rest in April then does that sound about right or…?

I’m getting mine on the 17th. I know because I’m god, and obviously, since I’m god and all, I have the gift foresight. I also have telepathy and clairvoyance, not to mention a special connection with the starts and the moon and the planets, which give me a keen sense of knowledge regarding the various states of the universe.

If you check the portal it says they will start releasing decisions for transfer students on the 17th, and continue sending them out until May 1st. I think I’ll trust that more than twitter. That would really suck if we had to wait until April…

@sega18 hahah! Do you think you could use your powers to release my decision on the 17th as well?

Ijustwannasurf, it really depends. I normally charge $100,000 an hour for good vibes, but I might be able to unlock the goodwill inside myself and do it for free. The only thing is that, as god, I have no goodwill, and no compassion. The only thing I can say is that those around me will have as good a time as I have. We’re on the same boat, so to speak, but we can’t row any faster. Of course, I don’t row, being god and all. I just give orders. I’m the CEO. You can blame me if you get rejected. And you can praise me if you get accepted =D

@Sockhermom - If you go back one page on this thread I already posted that twitter post.

But in an earlier post they say they’re going to send some transfers out on the 17th and a majority later. It also says transfer decisions come out on March 17th and will keep coming out until May 1st on the UCSB website.

They kind of gave out honors acceptances early for freshmen with the invitation to the Chancellor’s reception. Perhaps those on March 17 are kind of the honors students of transfers?

Transfer applications are read based on how quickly you updated your fall grades and spring semester course work in the system. We cannot guarantee that all TAG applicants will be notified on March 17th when we release our first batch of transfer decisions. "

Wait, what was the point in applying for a TAG again? Serious question. I applied UCSB since I thought we were going to get early review. I understood that we weren’t getting early decisions, but I was hoping that the next best thing was getting the earliest admissions notice. Now I’m starting to think that TAG doesn’t mean anything now. Can anyone correct me and tell me what I’m forgetting?

@mr401k The actual definition of TAG is Transfer Admission Guarantee. Basically you’re guaranteed admission to UCSB assuming you fulfill all requirements stated by the school…

TAG = transfer admission guarantee. Did you really apply for a UCSB TAG, because it doesn’t seem like you know too much about it? There’s requirements that must be met and followed to the letter to keep the TAG valid.

You are guaranteed Admission with tag as long as you met requirements, then you know you are 100% in. Ucsb just doesn’t send you a special early letter to let you know, because you know you’ve done what you needed and got required gpa. Then decision letters are all sent starting the same date, 3/17 but if you already know that you are in and that is what matters. That’s what my transfer advisor told me. Example: If you got an A on every test quiz and homework in class, you have an A. The report card will tell you have an A but you already know. Same thing .

Honestly I just want the decisions to come out so I can get my financial aid packages lol and decide where to go.

I’m guaranteed at UCSB but I wanna know how much assistance they can offer me the aid estimators on the websites for the UC’s is a little whacky.
