Haha @Matt4200, amen to that!
I couldn’t agree more! Hopefully we are in the first wave of decisions being released for UCSB.
Though I kind of doubt I am going to be because I didn’t submit my TAU until the end of the month
Either way, I want decisions, financial aid packages, and all other info now.
Goodness, I feel like such an impatient child.

@smltk1505h Yes I did put in my TAG for UCSB. I was just forgot the major differences between a TAG and getting accepted as a non TAG applicant.

But now I realize what you’re all saying. The TAG automatically gets you into the UC you applied it to IF you met all the requirements of that specific UC’s TAG. This is different as opposed to going under a traditional screening process that “non-TAG” applicants would go through.

I’m pretty sure I’ve met all the UCSB TAG requirements, other than the 60 semester credits haha, so no worries there. Thanks for the clarification though guys.

What happens if my TAG major is not the same as my first choice major on the application?

I think that might be an issue @sega18.
Did you complete the pre-reqs for both of the majors you listed?

Hey Guys!
TAG’d to SB for Econ & Accounting. In your guys’ UCSB portals, did your academic update get received by the school? Mine is blank for some reason…

@FinanceWiz

Yes, mine says (under the transcripts tab) that it was submitted on 1/08/14, and it was received on 2/10/14.

@AnthroFlo, Ya I did the prereqs for both. I kinda think the application will take precedence over the TAG though, which would be good, cause I want Actuarial Science over Math.

@sega18
I agree that the application would take precedence over the TAG; however, I believe that because you applied to your TAG with a different major than your actual UC app that your TAG might be void but I honestly have no clue. It all depends on the terms of your TAG agreement.

Eh, even if the TAG is void, it probably doesn’t matter. I’ll probably still get in hooray for overconfidence!

Anyone have any idea what time decisions will be released tomorrow?

@Transfer14ptl last year it was around 2pm

@sonic23 thank you!

I soooooo much want to find out about their decision.
Great, now we have this ;(

This site will be unavailable between Monday, March 17, 2014 12:01:00 AM and Monday, March 17, 2014 3:00:00 PM (Pacific Time) due to system maintenance. The Admissions Account Management site is currently available if you need to create or change your password.

Yeah Addoby,
Saw that message as well :/. We shall have to wait a little bit more.

At 3:18 am PST, UCSB system is still down…
Why am I still up?

I think they are probably posting decisions and that’s why the system is down. Ahhh so frustrating!!

Omg I’m so nervous…

I don’t know what my overall GPA is because I went to a CSU and like 4 different community colleges.

My UCSB counselor told me though that my GPA was a 3.55 when I applied, but I got a D in a class this past Fall 2013 semester.

My Fall 2013 GPA was still above a 2.0 so my TAG is still valid.

Do you guys think I’ll be fine? :(

@TonyStark93 - As of right now, Yes.

Just keep above a 2.0 in the spring for the semester and you’ll be good, but remember the TAG gets you into the campus, not the major so aim for the best you can get in your major classss.

as long as you fulfill all requirements you should be fine!

Im almost 100% sure ill be rejected because i have math IP. Which sucks because i have an A in the class atm…anf happen to love stats it was just intermediate algebra(non transferable) that held me back from completing math sooner.
