Received the email, too…I can’t believe this I am literally crying because of waiting for so long

@Otemachi sorry man, i know you want this bad! hang in there. Here, have some hot chocolate. ~O)

@uncfalltrans2014 I sent my app in December - No holds, no to do’s. My undergrad professional school program starts summer session I in June. I have been accepted into this professional school; just waiting on my decision from university admissions. I don’t know if acceptance to any of the professional schools carries any weight on this decision - so I don’t know how worried I should be! Haven’t found anything about this in prior years’ threads. Needless to say, I am pretty worried!

@Dancegrl979 Was your application incomplete?
@UNCRadSci How can you be accepted into a school within UNC without being admitted into the University first?

@otemachi I can totally understand your frustration. I also know that you will attend the school in which you will be able to shine be that UNC or at another university. This time is really exciting for everyone, try to enjoy the ride because in 5 years you will be sitting back laughing at the past few weeks of torture over a cup of delicious Swiss Hot Chocolate compliments of @KingofSweden . SMILE MON (Jamaican accent)!

@justblewit I don’t believe so it didn’t say i needed anything on mycarolina. a lot of other applicants have been getting the same email so I’m assuming decisions are going out in waves

@otemachi are you applying as a sophomore or junior?

@Dancegrl979 I think you’re right. It could just be that the admissions office didn’t get around to making a decision on your application just yet, but wanted to release the decisions they have made so far. I’m assuming they’ll be releasing decisions daily starting tomorrow.

@uncjschool I’ll be applying to come in one semester away from being a junior, but I’ll apply with 36 credits so that will still mean they will only look at my college stuff right? I’m at a NCCC with a 4.0 fall semester, this semester will probably get a 3.75, no journalism related EC’s so far, but a promotion at my job, Phi Theta Kappa, and some high school volunteer hours. I need to get some journalism related EC’s.

@justblewit There was an extensive multiple-interview process for the program over the past month. I don’t know how I could be accepted before the university makes a decision - I accepted the offer just last week. I had to apply to both the program and the university at the same time though.

@KingofSweden I hope you’re right! I’m not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing that they haven’t made a decision yet. I hate the waiting!

I think it could be a potentially good thing for those who got the e-mail saying they haven’t made a decision yet. Either they haven’t gotten through all the applications or they’re on the fence about your application. Think positive thoughts!

Yeah, I believe it is a good sign for most of those who have been told to wait. I think they are waiting day by day for freshmen applicants to accept their positions in their class to make a final number decision.

On another note, it is almost 5 o’clock. :/

@NCXfer that’s great! I know it’s a lot easier for people to get in after sophomore year. Right, high school shouldn’t matter. However, I would recommend writing for a publication of some sort as the J School publicly posted that they often choose students based on their promise in the field of journalism. I see journalism ECs and a great essay being of a bit more importance than grades in general courses.

No change in status as of 5pm on ConnectCarolina.

5:01! Endlessly refreshing ConnectCarolina now!

Don’t know if its the anxiety or the fact that I’m sitting here with no AC and its 83 degrees outside but I am starting to sweat. Only a little though

Mostly anxiety here…

Going slightly insane with the refresh button…

Imagine the excitement when that first person posts a decision!
