Official UNC-Chapel Hill Fall 2014 Transfer Thread

come on already! haha
UNC is my wildcard, only school I have ever applied to OOS. Never been to the South. Decided to apply because I’m a big fan of their sports and a Carolina Panther fan haha. Seems like it would be an awesome experience because I’ve lived in CA my entire life and want to mix it up! and its supposedly easier to get in out of state as a transfer than out of high school. I want to do accounting but I applied as a society and management major. If I get in I’d have to decide whether I want to do accounting undergrad at the other schools I’ve gotten into vs going to a school a bit more prestigious school like UNC and then getting a master’s. ahhhh

good luck everybody.

@Ciciecho I am transferring out of the College of the Holy Cross. I am also unsure if I will go to UNC.

I can’t wait to hear! I’ve been checking this thread and ConnectCarolina religiously for almost all of today haha.

@UNCTransfer2014 I’ve been doing the same thing! I need this wait to end…

While we wait for a decision, does anyone have any B-school advice? If accepted, I’d be entering as a junior and I want to get into the B-school. Would it be possible for me to join the B-school and graduate on time (within 2 years of entering UNC)?

ughhhh just got this from admissions:( Thank you again for your interest in the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As of 12 p.m. Eastern Time on April 15, your application for admission remains under review by our admissions committee or is incomplete. Because we will not be able to complete our evaluation and post your decision until April 16 at the earliest, you will not find any new information about your application on your ConnectCarolina Student Center until then.

Beginning on April 16, we will post new decisions, as we are able to make them, each weekday between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Eastern Time. If we have not posted your decision by 7 p.m., you will not find any new information about your application on your ConnectCarolina Student Center until 5 p.m. the following day, at the earliest.

I just received an email saying that my application is still under review and I will not receive my decision until April 16 at the earliest. Starting April 16 my decision will be posted between 5-7pm. If it does not appear before 7pm then it has no chance of appearing until 5pm the following day. So I guess I’ll be checking everyday between 5 and 7! This is killer.

@Dancegrl979‌ NOOOOOO! Did they send that to your email?? I didn’t receive it. How are they still reviewing applications up until this point?!

I didn’t get any email…does that mean some decisions will be released today?

I didn’t receive it either!! What does that mean??

@52895uf yeah it was sent to my email:( but if you didn’t get one then maybe you’ll get your decision today!

Didn’t get the email either…why must you do this to us, UNC? Why??

OH GOD SO MANY QUESTIONSSSSSSS

I think some decisions are going out today but i could be wrong

I did not receive that email either!

My best guess it that they are going to releasing them in waves

What… I hope that some of them are released today. There have been people who have received decisions on later days every year. I guess this is a forewarning for those applicants, which may mean that the main pool will be released today.

For the record I still have received zero emails - none from last night or today.

@Dancegrl979‌ Gah that stinks! Hopefully a bunch of us will hear today and you’ll hear tomorrow at latest!

@UNCRadSci When did you apply? Do you have any holds on your MyCarolina?
