Hi i have been following this message board for awhile while i’ve been waitlisted, monday around 3pm i also got a call saying that i was in to the university. I live about 45 minutes east of Notre Dame in Indiana. I am so happy and hope the rest of you can have as good of luck as me. Remember God answers prayers.

they don’t send an email about waitlist decision?
i don’t think i gave them my number

Congrats to those of you who’ve gotten in off the waitlist – you all must be so excited!!

nothing yet…

For those accepted on Monday…congratulations! Are any of you attending Mendoza?

No. I’m going into the college of arts and letters

fightinirish: First, Congrats! Second, when did you hear??

Nevermind, just saw that you got a call last week – again, Congrats!!

Not seeing any evidence of further activity here on the blog is obviously not a good sign as we approach the end of the month…but has anyone received anything official? Anyone have any informal updates?

Last update was that the process remained open. Possibly a few more calls depending on the updated tally!

My daughter received the dreaded small envelope today (in Florida) so she is officially SOL. I have to say that I’m glad it’s finally over. Georgetown still has her on their extended waiting list but her heart belongs to Notre Dame. Congratulations to those of you who are getting better news!

hey just checked the mail. got the small letter. :(

Yes…on Monday my daughter got the small enevelope too…I just want to wish each of you the very best in your college life at your accepted school.

I had a friend who’s Daughter did not get accepted off the wait list. He told me invariably in late July and August an accepted student does not “show” for whatever reason. He called ND in the mibeginning of August last year and in fact they had received word on several students who had accepted and confirmed they were coming had a change of heart and admissions was not calling the wait list as the waitlist was closed. He indicated his Daughter would still come, even at that late date and in August they gave her one of those slots. It’s like an airline seat, on sold out planes someone always can’t make it. With 2000 students there is bound to be 2 or 3 that don’t show. If you have the stomach for it call admissions in late July or early August, even late August and maybe your Daughter’s dream will come true. God Bless you all!

My daughter got an e-mail today from ND-waitlist is “winding down” letters to that effect are being mailed. She’s taking it well and is moving on. She said, “it’s all OK-just hard to let a dream go.”
