Official US November SAT discussion

@ Jimmyjum

Don’t think so…

@Laxman,

Yes.

@Potatoman

Not sure :(

what was the one about rhetorical effect

i put somnolence…thrived and comedy as a defense

Another was wittism for the WOOF one, but I put flippant.

i put flippancy at an undesirable situation

I put comedy as a defense

What were the answer choices for WOOF?

Sweet! and damn, i ommited it. Nati nate, for the hexagon problem, you make 2 diagonals, you get 24 to make a triangles. since an angle on a hexagon is 120, the diagonal bisects, the you get 60degrees. so its an equalateral triange and the side is 24. 24 x 6 = 144pm.

i put comedy as a defense?

For the question that asked what is the units digit when a four digit integer ending in 3 is raised to the 7th power:

3^7 ≡ x (mod 10)
3^3 * 3^3 * 3 ≡ x (mod 10)
7 * 7 * 3 ≡ x (mod 10)
9 * 3 ≡ x (mod 10)
7 ≡ x (mod 10)

Thus the units digit was 7.

it was something about profundity wasnt it

@misunderstood. I put that as well.

Sent from my DROIDX using CC App

Was the actor who has swagger aloofness?

@nati The answer was 144. You needed to do 6*24. (for the hexagon)

The test was excellent. The essay was so very simple although my second example was somewhat weak (related it to my father which tends to be weak since it’s personal).

Math was considerably easy. There was one question which I was unsure off towards the end. Reading was ridiculously easy although there were some vocab questions I couldn’t figure out (I would limit it to 2-3 choices). Writing was generally a lot easier than the blue book although I feel a bit icky about the second part in the main writing sections: Are we allowed to mark a part of a sentence wrong if it can replaced with a word like ‘because’? Cause there was one question where it was something something … in the … and I felt like because would make the sentence sound less awkward.

Let’s see what happens~ Still retaking in December so I can hit my goal of 2350.

Did anyone get the math experimental?

or the question that asked what is the units digit when a four digit integer ending in 3 is raised to the 7th power:

3^7 ≡ x (modulo 10)
3^3 * 3^3 * 3 ≡ x (modulo 10)
7 * 7 * 3 ≡ x (modulo 10)
9 * 3 ≡ x (modulo 10)
7 ≡ x (modulo 10)

Thus the units digit was 7.

I used 2 examples from books and 1 from my own experiences. Hoping for at least a 9 on the essay.

OH sorry, I meant “substantial” not dense!
I put aloofness.
Flippancy
And somnolence

@thecontender i had math experimental
