Official US November SAT discussion

What was the question for “x/x+1”?

I remember putting “vexed” as an answer to a question, I believe in reading. Does anyone remember any question with vexed as an answer choice?

I confirm vexed.

I also put vexed. (behavior passage, right?)

do u guys know the answer choices for vexed?

sneered and hodgepodge

For everyone talking about the a=2 b=3 if b=6 then a=?
Notice that the question draws absolutley no relationship between a and b, meaning it doesn’t have to a function or it can be any function. Thus consider this function. x=2. For any value y x=2. So if x=2 then y=3. If y=6 x would still equal 2. So it is possible that x can equal two even if y = 6. So the choice has to be that it cannot be determined.

After reading through all the posts I’m pretty sure there’s no point in even asking this…

BUT… for the question with the two circles that asked if they shared two points, one point, didn’t touch… etc… did the question state that the diameters were 6 and 2 or that the RADII were 6 and 2?

@poofa93 diameter. that one almost tricked me :S

Sentence Completions:
4) implicit
7) defile
10) drone

Does anyone remember anything about these answers? (general idea of the question, other answer choices) Thanks!

GUys if u had 2, 25min Writing section. WHich do U think is the experimental section?

^

I think the first writing one was experimental.

Did you guys remember the question for writing about the plaintiffs or something?

Yea i do, that one was really weird for me… SO HAPPY TO KNOW the 2nd one was real :D

The animal behavior section was rape…

Yeah I got 700 Cr last time but I definitely got at least 4 vocabulary and 2 passage based wrong just on this thread…

If I get a 700 again it would be purely luck because I marked 6 or 7 just on the section with the dolphins!

Can someone please tell me that the passage about the writer’s letter and the section about creating animal reserves on small part of land or large parts of land.

:’( alright haha damn i thought i hadn’t made any stupid mistakes

I thought the vocab was tough…

I didn’t get drone, I got ingrate. The kid that was being spoken of was not leeching off someone or living off the welfare of others ( what drone means), he was just ungrateful (which means ingrate). If I recall correctly, the sentence explicitly stated that he was ungrateful.

I’ll try to compile what sentence completions I remember

immersed
Sophistry
doctors… altruistic
Ingrate
Sonorous
Implicit
Staple
Panache

Dont recall getting Defile or inert (maybe these were the experimental questions?)

I don’t think I did particularly well.

I found myself finishing the writing and reading sections at least 5 minutes early, and then almost dozing off. The nearest testing center was over an hour away, and I had to wake up at 5 this morning and drive myself there.

It was my first and last time taking the SAT, though. I mostly just wanted to see how I could do.
