Okay just turned in my application. I have a question though, on Thornton’s school of music they said the deadline is tomorrow and everything needs to be turned in but what if ur a transfer student? I don’t even get my fall grades until 2 weeks.

Does anybody know where you would attach a letter of recommendation on the application? My major is in dornsife so it’s not a requirement… And also does anybody know how we put our college transcript on there? Do we attach or what? Lol these might seem like stupid questions but i really dont know ha.

@tomred You have to mail in both your transcripts and rec letters to USC’s admission’s office.

@beachpony ok thanks for the reply! So even if u do the application all online you must physically mail the letter and transcripts? Also do they look at your application first and then ask for your transcript or does the transcript have to be mailed by feb 1st also?

Yep. The letters and transcripts have to be physically mailed. Kind of a drag… :l

I’m not really sure about your second question. I would suggest sending in your transcripts as soon as you can. I think the longer you wait, the longer your admissions process will be delayed.

@beachpony ok thanks for the info! I was waiting till my fall grades were on my transcript to send. I figured that’s what was best right? And if I sent in my recommendation letter and transcript before I submitted my app online is that alright?

@tomred- That’s alright if you send recs and transcripts before submitting your app! There isn’t necessarily a specific order you have to send things! As long as send and submit all you are supposed to, you’re good :)

@Uptownmalik101- I think that is okay. Not all freshman have ended their semesters either! Obviously, it’s out of your power to submit your fall grades, but do send them ASAP!

@uscco2016 thanks for the advice! Forgive me for all the questions. I’m pretty naive when it comes to this process. Do you know I if mail my high school diploma along with my college transcript also? And also does my college send them the transcript or do I ask for it?

@tomred You don’t need to send a copy of your diploma. I believe that transcript counts as proof of graduation, if im not mistaken. Usually your college will send the transcript for you. You just need to give them the address. Check with college’s admission’s office :]

Here’s a checklist of the things you need to turn in with your application:
[Apply Now - USC Undergraduate Admission](http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/apply/apply_now.html)

Hope that helps! :)

@rawrz2013 speaking from experience, USC is need blind. I was accepted with a FAFSA EFC of 0, meaning the government expects my family to be able to pay for 0% of my college costs. With my current financial aid package I pay about $4000 a year out-of-pocket to attend USC.

do they account for living expenses when offering up financial aid or are you paying $4k to them for tuition + all your other expenses?

Yes, financial aid includes living expenses. After housing, tuition, mandatory health insurance, etc, I’m expected to pay the 4k that is not covered by university and government grant money.

Before I transferred, I lived about 30 blocks away from USC so if I really wanted to I could have commuted and went to SC for next to nothing. I instead chose to take advantage of the generous financial aid package and live in USC Housing.

Does anyone know what I’m supposed to do if I took the SAT’s but i totally forgot what my score was? I don’t even remember my username and password to collegeboard…:/

@uscacceptme I went through the process of what to do if you forget your log in information (I’m assuming you did all that “forgot username stuff”) and I came across what to do if you don’t have access to your e-mail anymore. It pretty much said to call customer service. Couldn’t find any easier way unfortunately :l

Also, if we send our ACT score we don’t have to send our SAT score right? Silly question, I know :x

Hey guys does anyone know what the correct address is that we send in our transcript and letters of rec to? Also this might be sort of a dumb question but if I go ahead and send my transcript and letter of rec in before I submit my app online, how do they keep up with that its my stuff, Before I apply?

Hey guys, I know the application itself is not due till February for transfers; but does sending it early help with the application process or does it not matter? When are you guys sending it in? Thanks for the help.

When do sign up for USConnect?
