@markfoti100: I think so. Mine is double spaced, mainly because it simply looks better, haha.

Hi guys, I’m a freshmen and my college GPA is 3.8, but my high school GPA is terrible. My high school GPA dropped from 3.4 to 3.0 after my senior year. Will it affect my admission?

I had my HS mail in my HS transcript around 1/10 and sent my college transcript in through an online website provided by the school on 1/18. On my USC Connect, it still says that those items are missing. Do you think it should be updated by now or should I send them in again?

@katie9- do you have a list of required documents on your usconnect?
Mine hasn’t updated since over the summer…

Is USConnect something that you set up after you submit the commonapp? I have my usc ID but is it possible to set it up before I finish my commonapp?

Yes. I have two required documents. My HS transcript and college transcript. I sent in both, so as the deadline approaches I’m hoping they update the website. I also sent in my official SAT scores.

I’m not sure if you can set up USC Connect before you submit your common app. I got an email one or two days after I submitted my common app showing me how I can set up my account!

@katie9 When I talked to my admissions counsellor she said that it may take a few weeks to update your file with the new info they received. So don’t worry if you don’t see it in your USC Connect yet.

@ronaldot I am pretty sure you have to submit your application before you can set-up your USC Connect because you need to provide them with the email you applied with before receiving your password to login.

@Toofast @ajmy17 Hey I just called the school and they said that the video and the extra questions are not applicable for us, only for first-year students!

When is the deadline the hs transcript and college transcript?

Hey guys, I’m a sophomore transfer student and have a 3.6 gpa but most my classes were set to fulfill the IGETC requirements for the UC System. However, I chose transfer to Marshall during the break and meet a couple of the USC admission requirements. But will the likelihood of my chance to be admitted impacted if I take MATH 118 in the coming spring quarter or is it just too late and not apply?

@uscforthewin- nope you can still apply. I think it has to be fulfilled before you enroll. Like your username!

@hwenn-feb 1

I know this might have been answered before, but for the Common App personal statement “why you want to transfer”, does it have to be specific for USC?

i was wondering, do you need to send in your H.S. transcript if you have 30+ credits? since i know you don’t have to send in your SAT score. (sorry if it was already asked/answered)

i wont be able to send in the transcript by feb 1. my college’s registrar said it’ll takes 10 business days. What should i do?

@basketballer123 I mentioned things specific to USC, but I you don’t have to make it specific. It does state that it should be general, but you can make multiple versions of the CommonApp so you can write an essay dedicated to each school.

@uscacceptme I’m pretty sure you have to submit your High School Transcript regardless of how many credits you have. Take that with a grain of salt though. Can somebody confirm or correct this?

@Hwen1994 I heard that it just needs to be postmarked before February 1st and if it arrives within two weeks of that day then it’s okay. Again, can anyone confirm or correct this?

I called USC admissions yesterday, and they said that I could send in my transcript after winter quarter. Only common app + supplement are due.

Does anyone know if you can write more than 1000 characters for the supplement essay?
Cause 1000 characters seems too little…

Does USC put a lot of emphasis on competing the diversity requirement? Does it look good if I only complete 3 out of the 4 GE requirements?

@basketballer123 I don’t think they let you go over 1000 characters. I tried doing it but then an error message would pop up saying I’m over the limit.

In the supplement part, there’s an additional requirement section for each different majors and under the Marshall School of Business there’s only the World Bachelor in Business which is only for first year applicants. So since i’m trying to transfer does that mean i don’t have do submit any addition stuff for that part?
