Yes, that is only for first-year applicants. When it comes to the supplemental, you would only have to do the 1000 characters response and the other info/questions at the top

@ajmy17 Thanks you
@Andrewswan phew… thanks for letting us know

Just checked my “Received Documents” tab and it says they received a “Viterbi Engr Essay”. I’m laughing because I am most definitely not going into engineering and I did not submit one. Odd.

Is there any way for transfers to receive a fee waiver from USC?

Hey, I know the application and supplement is due on Feb. 1; but I was wondering what are the specific documents we have to mail to USC and what are the deadline for them mailing in.
(SAT/ACT, high school transcript, college transcript, letter of recommendation. . .etc)

Hey y’all! this is just an annoying stats/chance me post but I applied last year didn’t get in (obvi why i’m posting) and I wanted to know anyone;s thoughts on how much grades impact the admission decision. my gpa went from 2.67->3.19->4.0! and i think i can get another 4.0 this quarter. Thanks guys and good luck! I know this is a very nerve-wracking process and before you know it we’ll all be refreshing our app status checks every minute and checking back door links! lolz.

@bycity94 You need to send in your high school transcript, college transcript, letter of rec (optional), and SAT/ACT scores like you said. All should be postmarked before February 1st, I believe. Just try to get them in as soon as possible, just to be on the safe side.

hey would you guys know if the letters of recommendation have to in a sealed envelope?

@satinderchhokar

Don’t worry too much about the diversity requirement. It isn’t contingent for admission as a transfer. I was able to transfer successfully without it.

Sent from my Galaxy S3 using CC

@ajmy17 I’m pretty sure it’s just the common app and supplement that is due by feb 1 right? Obviously they would like everything else transcripts etc by then but I don’t think there is a set timetable for the transcripts like the apps. Maybe I’m wrong though lol. Where did you hear that?

Does anyone know if the school forms (although it seems theyre not required) are due on Feb 1st as well? Id like to get a letter of rec but its a very short notice so I probably wont be able to do so in that time.

In the writing part of the common apps there is “additional information”, what do I upload?
Thanks in advance!

does the 1000 characters supplements include spacing?

My Essay is not generic, would it be a problem?

@tomred True, they don’t state outright that they would like them by Feb. 1st. I’m going by the info that has been passed along in this thread, so don’t hold me to it! I sent everything in by Feb. 1st, just to be on the safe side!

@Hwen1994 I think the additional information portion is for students who feel the need to explain anything to the adcom. Like, if a student performed poorly for one semester because of certain circumstances, then he/she would explain his/her situation in the additional information section. The 1000 characters includes all punctuation and spaces. My essay was not generic either, it was aimed towards USC in particular. Try putting all of your questions in a single post, it’s easier to see them all. :P

Does anyone know when the FAFSA/CSS deadline is for transfer students

If I had a 3.5 cumulative gpa in hs, and then I got 3.6 at CSULB (California State University Long Beach) and I’m involved in community service, two jobs, and four clubs (newspaper, literary magazine, yearbook and student ambassadors) with a 1970 SAT score, how do I look to transfer in for sophomore year? I want to major in creative writing and minor in education.

So… can we send our transcripts/recs after February 1st or postmarked before?

@basketballer123 pretty sure you can… But from what I’ve heard by feb 1st is the best bet.

Quick question
I wouldn’t need to send in my high school transcript right? I’m transferring a CCC and have the correct amount of units (45+ after the first year; currently have 65).
