Do official highschool and college transcripts have to arrive at usc office of admissions by February 1st??

About to trek out to USC today to hand in my application!
One private school app done,
many more to go…
good luck to everyone!
@alaintran9 no i don’t think so, but it’s definitely better if it’s there on time.

Other people who have already sent in their college and HS transcripts through the mail in the last week or two, does USconnect show that they have recieved it or no?

Finally submitted my app! Good luck everybody!

I’m at 650 words roughly on my Why Transfer essay. Am I allowed to go over 500 or no?

how can i have a usconnect account?

Hey guys I have a quick question. If I have junior standing when I apply, do I still need to report SAT/ACT scores and high school GPA? I have no problem mailing my transcript later, but it is a pain in the @ss to recover my login for college board. It’s been 2+ years since high school… I can’t remember exactly what my GPA was… and my unofficial transcript is thousands of miles away sitting in a box in California and I’m in Hawai’i.

Also, would anyone be willing to read my personal statement and provide suggestions via PM? I will do the same for your essay.

@satinderchhokar i don’t think you probably since the limit is between 250-500. and 650 is a lot over maybe if it was 510 or 520 or something it’d be a little more acceptable. i’d cut down if i were you.

@xtheswedex you most likely have to. i had the same question and went through the same problem (with getting the SAT scores). as for your HS GPA can’t you call your HS and ask for the GPA because you do have to send in your HS transcript anyway.

@Toofast It’ll take a few weeks for them to process the materials, so if it doesn’t show up right away don’t worry. I submitted both of my transcripts a couple of weeks ago and it still shows as missing in USConnect.

@ajindt You have to submit your application first, and then go to the USConnect website. Just google it and it’ll be the first search result. Scroll down to the blurb addressing “First time users” and follow the instructions.

@uscacceptme

Dang. Alright so looks like this could be a painful process… I thought they didn’t care about your high school grades if you had 60+ college credits. Oh well. Better safe than sorry. Thanks. Also, do we need to have all of our college transcripts sent by February too?

@xtheswedex yeah i thought they didn’t care either but then someone here said that they need your HS transcript for your proof of receiving a diploma. but for the SAT/ACT i still don’t know if it’s mandatory, i’m doing it just for in case :)

also quick question, for the school forms on the last part of the application, is that required? or is it just so you can submit your transcript electronically or something? do you have any insight on that @ajmy17???

^ I don’t think those forms have value to transfer applicants…
Unless you are submitting your grades electronically I suppose…

None of the school forms are required for transfer applicants.

Wow I wish I had seen the transfer plan checklist. That would have made things much easier. I hope my transcripts will get there in time. Do they want everything there by Feb. 1st, or postmarked by the first?

@xthesweedx postmarked I believe.

Do we have to turn the application thursday or do we have til the due date?

does anyone know if there is a word or character limit to the additional comments?

@coolkid
I think it’s probably a good idea to have the online app submitted and all the documents postmarked before Friday, so probably Thursday night at the latest. I’m also a little crunched on time, so I know how you feel haha.
