Your guys’s speculative feedback would be much appreciated. I’m hoping the best for all of us!

@katie (and other people who still can’t access the 2 financial aid boxes and admission documents on usconnect) I am stalking the usc 2017 thread and there was someone who has the same issue that got in! it probably means nothing but it’s fine to obsess a little more, right?! crying lol.

I don’t think it means anything because I am 99% sure that both Financial Aid and Admissions not being accessible is the case for everyone.

As much as I would love for that to be the case… I actually think they’re barely starting to read our applications…

Are the boxes on uscconnect still not working for y’all? They work fine for me :\ I know I’m just being paranoid but it’s a little scary when mine is different from everyone else’s haha.

Can’t wait until one of us starts hearing from USC! My current school has already sent out financial aid and enrollment emails for the next year :</p>

guess im just freaking out more because I applied for writing for the screen and television in december and since it’s a 4 year program I would be considered a freshman (if accepted). In the past accepted transfers for that program heard back along with freshman so if I don’t hear back this week it’s pretty safe to say I didn’t get in. Unless for my 2nd choice by some miracle

^ I wouldn’t say it’s safe to say. A few things seem to be quite different this year than previous years, and like you said maybe they’re reviewing you again with the rest of the transfers for your second choice major. don’t give up hope just yet!

thanks for the encouraging words, bubbletea! :)

Hey guys,
I was wondering if I should retake one of my writing classes. I made one of my writing class pass/no pass grade option because I added late and was really behind. I heard USC likes to see strong writing skills. Also I am a student at UCI.

If I’m not mistaken, the writing requirement must be taken for a letter grade. It cannot be a pass/no pass class. You can double check USC’s website to confirm that.
So yes, I would take it again!!

chloe316 sure  I think we’re all freaking out right about now and I know i’m glad I have a community to turn to about this stuff.

iloveasianguys, I don’t mean to sound harsh at all but it all comes down to you. if you really want a 4.0, put all your effort into studying and making good grades. think about what might be holding you back from making better grades. do you need to study more? cut back on social time? ask teachers or tutors for help? if you say yes to any of these, do something to change that. for me, I majorly cut back on my involvement with clubs and socializing in general this semester to focus on my grades because I know a 4.0 will really give me a boost when the time comes around for those SGRs. try to eliminate all distractions and always keep your goal (USC!!!) in mind. you can also try thinking of how accomplished you’ll feel if you just try your absolute best in school, 4.0 or not. good luck!

Pretty sure the being or not being able to access boxes means nothing at this point. I have been able to access boxes and not access the boxes in the past few days. Today I can, but yesterday I couldn’t. Who knows lol.

Have you been over to the freshman acceptance thread? It is intense with people being accepted and rejected. I know it will all work out for everyone but you just want everyone to get good news. (Ok totally unrealistic)
So… can everyone check in with whether or not they can click on boxes? My guess is that when they are actually looking at, working or changing something then you can’t open a box. I still have 3 boxes I cannot open and have not been able to open for 2 days. 2 in Financial aid and 1 under admission.
Who knows? I just want for the first transfer student to hear,

@katie thanks so much for your input. Well I mean I don’t want to make excuses if other people can get good grades then why shouldn’t I you know? And yeah I was thinking of like getting involved in something but yeah again I can’t go out at night. I’ll try to find out something in the daytime. But I am really unhappy at Davis you don’t even know. It is really depressing.
@bubbletea I think this quarter I tried hard but first I was enrolled in a class and dropped it second to last week of quarter but overall yeah I’ve done average and that’s not acceptable. Well honestly I have no idea. I mean other people have study groups friends or lose sleep. I can’t lose sleep because of my health and I don’t have friends or study groups bc every time I try to make friends it fails. I don’t socialize and I limit my free time to about four hours a week and the tutors at Davis are no help same with teachers as there are too many students. Well I know that I could do better and hope I will do so next quarter. I’m gonna take English classes and hopefully retake math so no more science classes. Thanks so muchforuour encouragement and input

@Katie617 the past few days I couldn’t open the boxes, but I just tried again and they’re all accessible to me now

@ sierrag95 Thanks for letting us know. I still can’t get in but I don’t think it means anything either way. Keeping fingers crossed for everyone. :)

Hello, like most of you I’m waiting impatiently for the decisions to come out for this Fall. Transfer student from a cc. 3.4 GPA applying to Annenberg with Communication

i’m able to open all of the boxes that read error before now!?

I can get into everything now after 3 days of not getting in. On the other USC threads it appears most people can get in now. Someone called USC admissions and they said they were having computer problems - a glitch. I am sure they are working hard as they told the freshman applicants that they could check the portal tomorrow at 12:30.
One thing that is different is the freshman have under admission status that their application has been acted on. I don’t think any of our (transfer) admissions tabs say that. Right?

i have a feeling this thread is gunna blow up over the next two months…
