Hi guys! I’m new to this thread but I applied to USC as an engineering transfer student. I know they say that they release decisions for transfer students in May which kinda sucks, I don’t want to wait that long! Has this usually been the case??

@sarah989 earliest was mid april for last years transfer class but also lasted till late june

Aw man! Okay thank you! Many more weeks of anxiety ahead…

This thread has gone awfully quiet haha…

I’m so nervous haha

I have a 3.9 GPA, but Im nervous that they will look at my high school stats (3.2 & 26 on the ACT). I have 25 units completed and I will have over 40 when I finish this semester. It says that if you have less than 30 units they will mainly focus on your high school statistics… is that before or after spring semester?

Me too!

I believe they mean after the Spring semester, so don’t stress out too much about your grades from high school. You have a great GPA!

@sam
I’m very nervous about that too! My high school GPA is about the same as yours, but my GPA now is a 3.79. So I hope they don’t look at that too much. I have over 60 units though, so they are not supposed to focus too much on high school.
I also struggled with anxiety, so I tested out of high school my junior year. I hope that doesn’t affect me negatively, but I explained the reason behind it.

I never completed high school, I went straight to community college at age 17. So I have a mediocre high school transcript and a mediocre early college transcript. When I returned to college a few years ago (at age 27), I lit it up (tons of honors courses, pretty much straight A’s with the exception of B’s for my second and third semesters of Spanish), but I am completely dependent on Admissions being cognizant of my education gap. I understand the fear.

FINALLY April! I hope this month brings some good news (or any news for that matter) for at least one of us :\ although, it probably won’t be me. I have a feeling if anything i’ll be getting the later decisions/requests since i’m a freshman with not as many credits as a lot of you and not too many classes for my major :c some people I know at my school already have their schedules for next semester and i’m just awkwardly waiting not knowing what to do ._.

@chloe316 Hey sorry I apparently havent posted enough on this thing to do private messaging but no I havent heard ANYTHING!!! Im dying right now. Maybe Ill try calling tomorrow ? Perhaps I can get someone who actually knows what they are talking about. The fact that neither of us has heard anything though makes me think they couldnt have sent them out yet, its just two weird of a coincidence, ya know? Plus I live two hours away and the mailman already came today. It shouldnt take this long. At this point I think we may have to find out with everyone else but then again why would we have to apply by December 1st!!! No worries, I love venting although at this point it doesnt make me feel better because we are still left in the dark wahhhhhh

@chloe316 At this point I just think no one there knows what’s going on and are just BSing it to get students off their back. I’m sure they’ve been dealing with newly admitted/rejected freshmen and just want to make the lambs stop screaming…

^^that reference may not have worked there… eh oh well. I need to keep posting so I can send private messages….

USC is typically the last school to send out notification. We shouldn’t expect material contact for current semester grades or an acceptance offer until late May/June. Sitting tight…yeah right.

I agree with bubbletea. Happy April, everyone! Let’s hope USC continues the trend of contacting atleast a couple of people this week/next week like they did last year.

I hope we hear good news too (: I’m tired of all this anxiety haha. Have any of you guys heard back from other schools you’ve applied to??

Not yet still waiting on Chapman and NYU I’m so over this.

It’s finally April!! Yay!
Well I was looking through last year’s thread and someone had called admissions and was told that they would start sending out SGRs the second week of April…

Ahh!! I don’t even know what to think!

Two weeks seems so far away…
I need to stop compulsively checking these forums and the admissions websites for the schools I applied to… haha. Yeah right!

So EVERYBODY gets a SGR? So the actually replies come in July since everybody gets a SGR? Good thing I don’t wanna go to USC!
