Official USC 2013 Transfer Thread

Does everybody here can check the application status on USC connect?

I sign in to my USC connect but can’t check my application status
I don’t even know whether they have received my documents or not.=(

@ellahoki did you try turning off your “block pop-up window” preference on your computer? If it is on, you won’t be able to open up any of the links.

does anyone know if admissions counselors would look down on a student who takes 4 classes the first two quarters and then takes 3 classes the last quarter (trimester)?

@transferkid93 i dont know if they would like down but they just like to see that your have a full time student shedule of classes

Just checked my account and got an SGR!!!

@uscco ^ how many units have you done at your community college? (including units in progress)

Congrats, uscco! Mind sharing your stats?

@uscco2016 ahh! happy someone finally’s heard something, but nervous I won’t get one >< where on your account does it notify you about the SGR?

@MichaelLau: There isn’t a separate application for the USC Transfer Merit Scholarship. You are taken into consideration as long as you applied to USC by February 1, 2013.

@JR2013: That is a tricky question. The reason is because even though you may have taken certain courses at a community college, there are specific general education categories that you must take at USC. As a result, during my first semester at USC, I was a “sophomore” with junior standing. Meaning, the earliest I could graduate, because of the GE classes is December 2014. (Transferred to USC Fall 2012). So, the main difference between UCs and USC is that in most cases, transfers will have to spend at least 2.5 years at USC, while they can spend 2 years at a UC school.

Update: It’s hard for me to periodically check this thread… So if any of you have questions regarding transferring to USC Marshall School of Business or any general transfer questions, please email me at judypark92 [at] gmail . com! (sorry for the weird spacing, college confidential blocked it… ] I will be more than happy to answer them! :D

*Note: Please put “2013 USC Transfer Questions” in the SUBJECT LINE!

THANKS! :D

i want a sgr "( haha congratulations though!

Looks like I got accepted to Chapman. C’mon USC. It’s your turn. I want that letter.

UCSB, Pepperdine and recently UCLA… USC needs to just tell me one way or another lol.

@tomred

you heard from UCLA already? Their decisions don’t go out until Friday?..

Yeah, I’ve got La Verne, CSU Fullerton and Chapman so far. Only waiting on Pitzer and USC now. Prefer to be a Trojan, though. :(

That1Guyy, well I am an Athlete so maybe that had something to do with it… On Monday though I found out.

@RandomNewGuy, ha Im with you all the way… Being a Trojan is my dream. But it is nice to have options.

Does anyone know when will Marshall begin to release the decisions? Decisions will be released at the same time or kind of rolling basis? They said they would release by June 3 which is so late.

@tomred what sport do you play? I am also a d1 athlete
