Official USC 2015 Transfer Thread

Does anyone know how USC goes about accepting you for your 2nd choice majors? From what I know, USC is really good at letting current students change majors from within the same college. I ask this because I fulfill all requirements for my 2nd choice, but am going to be missing a full year of science for my 1st choice, but both majors are in the same college.

I just got an SGR from Dornsife. I’m applying to be a Sophomore, my major is Biochemistry and I’m on the TTP. Keep checking your portals because I didn’t get an email telling me I had a message in my portal. Also, my restrictions date on OASIS remained the same (February 7th). Hope this helps!

Hey guys! I was wondering how some of you are able to log into oasis? Is it by using your application ID and password for the portal? It’s not working for me… Does that mean what I think it means?

It doesnt mean anything. I never had access prior to getting accepted.

@fightonRT its your USC ID number and your birthday, MM/DD/YYYY but if you can’t log in its totally okay, Tons of people get accepted without being able to log in.

just got an SGR from Marshall! junior accounting applicant, got the message on the portal

Has anyone with the admissions counselor Marcos Garcia heard anything back yet, SGR? Acceptance?

@xfertoxfer if you dont mind, what are your stats??

hello~~ has anyone who has Diana Moreno get an acceptance yet??

@LEGASC I have Marcos Garcia and I haven’t heard back yet,

@LEGASC @ForeverGymnast21 I have Marcos Garcia as well and I haven’t heard back either

How do you find out who your counselor is?

@juniorwhooper101 sure, around 3.3 gpa and calc in progress and most other prereq’s done

no access to oasis

Received my packet this morning. Nothing has updated on my portal yet. STAR report filled out on oasis 05/02.

So there is a connection between your USC counselor and your decision time now?

Got an SGR today

60 units from a CC. 3.9 GPA. Took all of USC’s recommended courses for transfer applicants and all G.E courses with the exception of arts and letters. Currently taking Business Calculus.

Does anyone know if I’ll get a faster decision if I submit my spring grades sooner? I am terrified at this point because i think I’ll be getting B in Business Calc :expressionless:

@LEGASC I have him and I have’t heard anything back from him.
Maybe he’s one of those very strict counselors and is very technical. He might release his decision on June 1st

Anyone have Kenley Turville?

@poisonx It’s so hard to tell with USC, I think it’s all based on your admissions counselor and when they start
reviewing spring grades, but I’m sure submitting sooner should definitely help carry along the process faster. What major have you applied for?

@LEGASC I applied to Marshall.

Is it rare to get a “B” for a spring class and still get accepted after getting SGR’d?
