@HappyLifeMachine it should go away, however a quick call to your admissions counselor will have the process sped up and you’ll most likely get it cleared right away as i had to do the same thing
@mmoore0142 Thank you, will emailing my admissions counselor suffice? I had to email them the other day about something else and I’m getting worried I’m bothering them too much now. Lol.
I hate how we have to wait so long to hear back.
Just checked my portal and usc requested another transcript. Does this mean they want my winter transcript?
I still have not received an anything about sending another transcript? should i be concerned?
Okay, so I know there’s a lot of talk about OASIS and how it’s a possible hint that you might have gotten in, and people are saying that people that didn’t get access to OASIS still got in, but is it really a sign of possible acceptance or positive reviews on your application? Were there any people that had access this early and were rejected?
I’m so nervous. I haven’t gotten anything on my YouSC for any transcript updates or anything or any admissions officers calling me lately so I’m scared, but I do have access to OASIS.
Wait so is anyone else on here on the Trojan Transfer Plan?
@elmhsstudent I haven’t gotten anything recently either while last year they sent me messages like crazy and that’s when I ultimately got an SGR. I’m not sure if no news is good news this time around.
As for OASIS, I think last year’s thread pretty much came to a consensus that access to OASIS doesn’t really mean anything (I got rejected after all and I had access). So being able to access it means nothing in terms of acceptance. It’s only the little "tricks’ within the site. For instance, if you see your restrictions and they say something like 1/17/2015, it means that’s when they processed your application. If you check again and it changes to 4/17/2015, then that means some type of activity or decision has been made - whether it be an SGR, acceptance, or rejection.
Do you guys think we will be hearing decisions before May? I’m thinking Dornsife and Marshall decisions will come around that time. That’s what it seemed like from last years thread.
@HappyLifeMachine haha emailing could work too. i know my counselor usually takes at least a few days to respond, so if you’re up for the wait, go for it!
@zettasyntax So if we’re able to access OASIS that means they have looked at our application already? That also means they’ve made a decision right?
@Mick96 Not necessarily, no. If you look in the restrictions section/tab, it just shows when your admissions counselor received your application. it will show a date around January usually or just before transfer applications closed. If you see that date change to a more recent date such as one in April, then yes, they’ve reached some sort of decision. Then it involves looking at the transfer report there a few days later to see if anything happens - lack of activity there means rejection or an SGR.
OASIS will be important once we’ve all been accepted - it seems to have helped in prior years if there was any activity going on like @zettasyntax explained to us (thank you) - my sister just graduated and her OASIS is full of information but mine doesn’t have anything other than what everyone else starts out with.
I got into UCLA. I’d still much rather be a Trojan, but at least I have somewhere to go now unlike last year and the avalanche of rejections
Anyone with access to oasis check the prepared date in the top left corner of the stars audit report mine says 3/17/15 at 3:55 pm. I’m just curious of what everyone else’s says.
@zettasyntax do you happen to know if Dornsife’s decisions come out soon or first?
Also I can second that having access to oasis is no indication of acceptance bc I too was rejected with access to oasis back in 2012 (tear) lol
@Msmclagirl Last year I got an SGR on April 24th and my first choice was undeclared Dornsife, so I’d say if they keep last year’s pattern, Dornsife people can expect to hear as soon as next week about some sort of decision.
@zettasyntax If you applied to two majors in dornsife (first and second choice on the common app) is it possible they can reject you from both and just place you as undeclared?
@Msmclagirl This was actually something I did not know about. I read that USC considers everyone for undeclared in Dornsife, so I literally wasted a spot by using that as one of my choices. I’m pretty sure at least a few people from last year were in this situation and wound up being accepted as undeclared.
