I don’t remember a lot of winter grade requests from last year, so I guess we have more people on the quarter system applying this year
@Mick96 My restrictions have not updated. Mine has 1/18/15 at 9:19PM as the date/time. I’m getting superstitious now. 9/19 is my birthday, so I’m hoping that’s good luck lol Anyway, it hasn’t changed lately.
Well it’s definitely not a bad sign as they didn’t reject you outright. It means they like you and just want to see more of how you perform (such as cases where you don’t have close to 60 units or something; they want to see you keep up your current GPA).
I got the winter grade request this morning, but my school is on the semester system, should have been clear about that. I took winter school to get as close to 60 credits as I could- also one of my winter classes pertained to my major.
@juniorwhooper101 I hope so! And I have a 3.78 from my cc, but I’m going to keep my major private until I receive an actual decision. (I’m a bit paranoid lol)
@westcoaster5567 There’s pretty much no need to cross your fingers, you are in! No one that’s ever been rejected has had their STARS filled out. That essentially means they’ve calculated what transfers over. I’m told that’s it done by computers/is an automated process, so it happens pretty fast after a restrictions update.
@HenryClay1832 If you took a major class in the winter, then that’s probably a good reason why they want your winter grades. I’m on the semester system too and I took winter courses last year to try and get up to 60 units as well, but I took general education classes then, so I’m assuming that’s why I never got a winter grade request last year.
Hi you guys! So I just emailed my counselor about whether we should be checking OASIS or YouSC. She said that only admitted students should have access to OASIS. How are you guys accessing it?
@MichelleSafarian Well, technically yes, it’s only for actual USC students. Historically though, it seems like some can access OASIS despite not being admitted by using their USC ID and a default password that’s been mentioned many times. Of course, they can’t do much like enroll in courses like an actual student would since they’re not students yet, but people use it as some short of “cheat”/"hint’ to learn about their admission status. If you can’t access it, there’s nothing to worry about because not everyone can (and like you said, it’s only intended for admitted students anyhow).
