Hmm, this GPA formula that USC uses but doesn’t let people know the details about is interesting… At my college we’re on the quarter system. 90%-92% = A-, 3.7 – 93-97% = A, 4.0 – and 97%+ is an A+, 4.0. I really wonder if they take into account A+'s as better than regular A’s. I’m guessing if this were true, they could only measure it as a grade against other students at the same school and not the entire body of students applying. That might make sense in the context of the same admissions counselor reviewing your application as well as every other application from your school.

@ForeverGymnast21 So i was rereading last year’s thread and the first person (in the thread) to get accepted for marshall was 4/27…so maybe…soon…

@juniorwhooper101 @Forevergymnast21 Another Marshall applicant checking in. I really hope we hear this week the anticipation is killing me. Btw was looking at the threads from the previous years, is it just me or does it seem like most Marshall applicants get a SGR, if so, then the wait will continue 
@jucery13 oh jeez…hopefully news will come this upcoming week for atleast some of us!! ( no sgrs plz) do you guys think marshall updates the portal first or mails the decision out first? It seems different for everyone this year
Btw does ANY marshall applicants have access to oasis? Do you guys think our 10 digit id number factor in when our apps will be reviewed? Like those who start with 1 will be reviewed first or… or am i just too paranoid?
@juniorwhooper101 I have access to oasis and I am a Marshall applicant and my ID number starts with 1 but I’m not sure about your theory! Haha
@juniorwhooper101, no oasis access over here , My ID starts with a 3. My friend who’s ID starts with a 5 also has no access to oasis …
I hope Annenberg starts sending out decisions soon I can’t wait any longer
@jucery13 @juniorwhooper101 @ForeverGymnast21 The only somewhat news from Marshall came in the form of an unusual mid-term report that @deardollface received yesterday.
@HelloThereFellow I am also a marshall applicant and I received that unusual mid-term report about a month ago. I clicked to see what it was and found it strange since I am a junior applicant, but it sounded like it was for high school students. I didn’t fill it out but once I clicked out the link dissapeared!
I talked to my admission counselor and she made sure I had Calc in progress still. She said USC will most likely send a spring grade request before I’m admitted. I highly encourage everyone to call their admission counselors. They are so helpful and I really think they are a deciding factor whether you get in or not.

Is it possible to be admitted for the Fall 2015 semester if someone received an SGR? I notice the majority of applicants that received a SGR was admitted in the spring.
How do we call our admissions counselor?
@Mick96 I wouldn’t bother, just email him or her. I was told that they aren’t really there to answer any calls, I’ve never had one of my calls answered or returned. Emailing is the best way, they get back to you pretty quick too.
I agree with @samchoochiu I have called a couple times and no one answers but I always get responses via email!
