Official USC 2015 Transfer Thread

@MedicMatt congrats!!

@HappyLifeMachine Ok great! Thank you so much for the response!!

Hey guys visit the new thread because the two accepted ones put their stats!

@MedicMatt Congrats on your acceptance!!! So awesome!! Your YouSC portal hasn’t updated either?? I got an acceptance in the mail and my portal also remains unchanged! So weird!

I’m a sophomore transfer.
And thanks again. @cs2015 https://dornsife.usc.edu/bisc/heb-bs-human-biology/ I’m premed as well. Under the program are a few different track modules to follow. I’m probably going to follow the biomedical science track. Also, I would check out this minor program, if you want to go pre med. I have not seen any program from any other school that offers something so excellent for those wanting to get into the healthcare field. https://dornsife.usc.edu/minor-in-health-care-studies/

Transfer thread looks great can’t wait to see it with a bunch of future acceptances - way to go it’s getting real now! @1mHello1m

Thank you so much for the info @MedicMatt!! Very interesting and a great idea for a minor! I don’t know if I will even get accepted, but it is definitely something I will look into if I do!

Have most people still yet to hear anything at all? I’ve never heard anything, nothing at all. No SGR, requests additional info, etc.
Anyone on the same boat as me?

I am and I’m starting to get worried because a few sophmore transfers have already heard back @samchoochiu

@ForeverGymnast21 I feel stupid for asking this but what is WGR

@invalid99 WGR = Winter Grade Request

@sunita18 @samchoochiu I’m in the same boat as u guys, I have yet to hear back from USC, I’m getting worried as well since some sophomore transfers have heard back, and all the acceptances so far, (Congrats to everyone accepted!!) but it’s still early! A lot of SGR’s and acceptances were given out in May, so fingers crossed for all of us!!

@ForeverGymnast21 @sunita18 @samchoochiu Yeah I’m a sophomore transfer as well and I’m on TTP and haven’t heard back anything yet either. There’s still much more time left, I mean we’re still in April. Keep your heads up guys!

I’m not on TTP that’s what makes me more scared @Mick96 you will have a really good chance though you will probably get in!

@invalid99 not a stupid question at all! Haha I wondered the same thing when I first saw “WGR”

@sunita18 Just because you’re not on TTP doesn’t mean you should worry! There are MANY people that get in without TTP because it’s not really offered to too many people so KEEP YOUR HEAD UP! You’ll be fine, patience is key!

I can’t sleep and I just finished writing a long long long paper about Labor Unions, anyways, do any of you live in the area? Would living off campus be too much trouble? (Trying to keep happy thoughts thus is why I’m asking about this.)

well i visited USC several times and they do offer off campus buildings which look really nice (but must be hella expensive). my friend who will be living off campus lives about a 5-10minute walk away from the campus

@trnsfrstdnt Part of my acceptance packet was a booklet on housing. Probably at least 20 different options…not too expensive, most are around $4000 per semester, few are more, few are less. It includes on campus, and off campus housing options.

Hi guys, can you please explain a couple of things to me? If I am attending cc that is on the semester system, tI would not complete my semester till the end of May and my SGR would not be available till then. So I’m confused regarding the SGR- would they still request it? How are people getting this request when the semester is not over yet? Also where would it be in the portal? What is the exact verbiage they use when requesting it? Thanks
