OFFICIAL UT AUSTIN APPEAL THREAD/ WAIT-LISTED APPLICANT

Im appealing for psychology! What did you state in your appeal if you don’t mind me asking? @savetherocks

Bump

my appeal was denied but I’m trying to see if i can appeal again. I don’t think they received my transcript on time :/

Absolutely appeal again I am so sorry good luck @Saborak‌

So they didn’t get my transcript on time, and i called and talk to the peal office. They were able to get ahold of a senior member and they just told me to apply again for spring. :frowning: Oh well it gives me more time to save money  Good luck to y’all!! I wish you all the best!

Really still appeal you have nothing to lose f that.
Appeal nowwwwww

It won’t let me… I applied for another job last night and got it on the spot so I’ll be okay if I stay in SA. I’ll be there in the spring! I hope you have an amazing freshman year!! You deserve the absolute best for all your hard work! @135pipe

I am so sorry
I can’t wait to see you in the spring. Congrats on the job
Thank you so much

So… I checked my status again today to see if it would somehow magically change and under things to do it says to pay my enrollment fee…? Heh… I called UT and they think something was inputted wrong o_o

Pay it ^^^^^^ you can use this to your advantage

You can get in nowwww!!!

Love this thread so many acceptances wooooo

@carissadean‌ Were you rejected with a 3.68 then even though it was erroneous? May I ask what your stats are? School applied to, intended major, school from, number of hours, etc.

Has anyone tried appealing as a transfer student on the grounds that current coursework isn’t considered for admission? My current dilemma is my GPA…I have a 3.4 cumulative but by the end of this semester I will make a 4.0 for this term bumping my cumulative to a 3.6. I am applying for Spring 2015 COLA as a Psychology major. Haven’t heard back yet, though with my GPA I am expecting a rejection. Thoughts? I will just have to wait out it and reapply for summer if it’s a no. I really hope my 3.6 will get me in though.

That I don’t know

@Pianoman911 Here’s the thing about counting on courses in progress. UT already has more than enough transfer applicants who don’t need to rely on CIP to fill all spaces.

Hey guys, I was just recently denied into Biochem two days ago and I wanted to appeal because I moved up nearly 40 people in rank, but my sat scores are low so I wanted to retake them and see if they’ll increase to at least a 1950 or 2000. Do yall think UT would approve/accept my appeal?

@135pipe when you were appealing how did you tell UT that you wanted to change your major? Did you just say you wanted to change it to undergrad studies in your reasons why you were appealing?

Yes said I was willing to change my majors to ugs

@135pipe‌ Ok this may be repetitive but I was denied from biology and cap’d. However, my rank moved up this semester from 7.4% to 6.9%, but I sent my this in before they made a decision. Is it possible that they overlooked it and is this any means of appealing? Also, would calling admissions help me in any way with appeals? I want to ask them why they declined me so maybe I can clear that up in my appeal letter
