Anyone applying to McIntire?

Hey Sephyre, I’m considering applying Mcintire next year, I want to ask you a question about the prerequisites. I finished all of them, except “Making business work”. But I came from a liberal arts college, and we don’t have this class at all! So is that mean I can’t be accepted?

@SabrinafromIN

Even most liberal art colleges offer some sort of business class. “Making Business Work” is a prerequisite, very basic business class, such as Business 100, or Business 101. Business Admin. is the most popular major in the U.S. so I am more than positive you’re college has it. If your college really does not have this, try and take a course from a community college over the Summer. If you still don’t know, I would advice emailing Miss Jennine Fields who works for the Comm school and will tell you exactly what classes are transferable and need to be taken for McIntire equivalence.

Hope this helps!

Update on the UVA Transfer blog! Files should be complete, and you officially have permission to contact admissions about any missing materials. Now I’m ready for “View Decision”…

29 days left!

Brishe, why don’t you check if you’ve filled the GAA requirements?

I have checked, and I do. I just have to finish the semester! Still paranoid though haha

27 days left! Anyone nervous or is it just me? Anyone feeling confident?

Nervous! I went through this last year only to get rejected, and even though I was kind of expecting it, it was no fun April finally being here is only making it worse; I have no patience left!

Hi all, I have a few questions about transferring to UVA.

I am a high school senior, and will be attending VCU next year. However, I hope to transfer to UVA for my sophomore year. Will the transition be difficult? I read the “Transfer Guide” on the UVA website and it says the SAT or ACT will be one of the requirements. So does that mean I have to take the Reasoning test/ACT again as a college student? Also, what would be the reasonable college GPA for transfer students? The site says “B average,” but that seems a bit too low for UVA?

Thanks in advance.
