*OFFICIAL* UW Class of 2010 Acceptance List

oh yeah, i forgot to add my name to my own UW acceptance thread...

anyways, got my letter a few days ago.

ACCEPTED
3.86UW
1370/1600

....and very nice stats scholarific

scholarific, good luck with Whitman! That's a lovely campus, and it's got a great rep. I know freshmen at both Seattle U and SPU, and they all love them, so it sounds like you've got some great options.

Thanks, I really appreciate it! Good Luck to all of you who have yet to hear!

Congratulations to t4885214! What do you plan to study?

thx! to be honest i really dont know what im gonna study lol

I just got accepted today!!!

3.96 uw GPA
All IB classes (still have lots of homework to do tonight :) )
2160 SAT
International Relations Major (hopefully, at least: it seems pretty competitive)
I also want to study Spanish, Chinese and Arabic but I'm not sure how I'll fit it all in!

All the other schools I applied to I won't hear back from until April 1st, so this is a nice gift until then!

Still waiting on Honors.

I was accepted yesterday!

my stats are alright... nothing stellar (which by the way, I consider everyone who has gotten in so far from this post to have stellar stats... at least for UW's standard)

I figure I have the "well rounded... heavily involved.... Leadership" edge, not the academic one

congrats! very nice. are u in-state? when did u apply? does leadership mean student govt at yr hs?

Artista-
Yes I'm instate, I go to Foss high school in Tactown :). I applied in december. And when I said leadership I did mean student government, but I also head lots of clubs, I'm the student rep on my schools site council (like principals and teachers and crap that have all the real power) and I wrote my essay about how I co-lead a WASL boycott during my sophomore year to save the Pre-IB program at my school. I don't have a great G.P.A. but I do take all IB classes. I got a 1890 S.A.T... so like I said... well rounded

did u find out by the big yellow envelope or online? u sound like u are gonna attend the UW. is that 4 sure? again, congrats.

at first online... but the snail mail form came yesterday. I think I'm going to UW yeah... it's cheaper than the other schools I'm considering. A poor college students lifestyle scares me :) haha so I think I'm gonna go the cheap route, which is UW.

again, congrats. how did the online info reveal itself if u don't mind? have u been checking obsessively? was yr snail mail the big yellow envelope w/congrats on the outside? any other cool people from yr h.s. choosing the UW? pardon my truly awful nosiness, curiosity and desperation with all these questions. dang, i'm a wreck. . . .

falconpower: did you apply in-state? If so, do you happen to go to Hanford? Just curious. :)

Congratulations to falconpower1 and estrella72!

the online thing said:

Thank you for applying for admission to the University of Washington!

Your application for admission as a Freshman student to the University of Washington for autumn quarter 2006 was entered in our data base on November 30, 2005.

The status of your application was last updated on January 26, 2006.

Your application has been reviewed. All applicants are informed of admission decisions by mail when results of the review process become available.

..... Then I did the unoffical transcript thing and it gave me a 7 digit number, said I was a freshman, college of arts and science, pre social science major, admitted for autumn 2006

.....thechiiguin... I already said that I was instate and that I go to Foss...

Artist- My envelope looked like the letter that was described in the other posts (it's yellow, said I would get more info later, and it also had pics). There are tons of people from my school applying. I would wager at least 1/4 of my graduating class applied. I know of 4 people (including me) who already got in. It's ok to be a wreck, but don't beat yourself up over it. Are you instate or out of state?

do you plan to live on campus? since u have such stellar leadership skills can u lead me into the knowledge of a fun rez hall choice? or, perhaps, u could become the president of america immediately? we need a new guy.

(tell no one: i am oos, from the land of porn, smog, traffic & trojans. i am the only one from my h.s. applying to the uw. the spoiled children at my h.s. all want the 'hood. some of u CCers do too: beware the preps . . . )

I'm pondering whether I should be flattered or offended by your first comment. Just out of curiosity, where are you from?

well, falconpower1. I'm very envious of you knowing you got in. *gr.

anyway, I seriously hope we're in the same boat.

and if you find an awesome freshmen residence hall, let me know.

Arista -- are you accepted, and are you going in as a freshmen? I wanna take the FIG residence hall thing. I think that sounds super exciting.. anyway.

Wacaves- awesome freshmen residence hall?? HAHA you must be joking. I guess you've never been to the UW campus. And with your stats, you should be in for sure, you're instate right?
