@Heyhabbit…Yes, Informatics is one of several so called “participates” Direct to Major after Admission (separate decision in late March / early April). The second choice won’t be considered (only for information purpose). From a CS page, it says if you are denied by CS, you could think several other majors such as Informatics. One would think you’ll be considered automatically if you indicate so. Really don’t understand why it has to be so confusing and the information is scattered all places. I suggested my D talk them for this, but I think it may have zero effect.
D finally got her acceptance this morning. There was nothing when she woke up but a couple hours later the decision was there. OOS, Kentucky; 35 ACT/ 1550 SAT; 3.97 UW
@“SpecialK” Congrats to your daughter! And it’s good to know they’re still releasing some decisions today.
@drumminggeek87 Thank you! Good luck to you!!
My D told me that you will only get an email if you’ve been rejected. So, if that is true then hope is still alive!!
I didn’t realize that. Good luck to her and you.

Congratulations! We are pleased to offer you admission to the Seattle campus of the University of Washington for autumn quarter 2019. Official welcome materials have been mailed to you. You may now choose to accept or decline your offer of admission online. The deadline to confirm your enrollment is May 1, 2019.
No mention about what major she was admitted into. She called and was told it will be in her welcome materials.
Any one has the same message above?

Yes, my Son got the exact same message.
I’m hoping to get an update soon. The wait is killing me:(
Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
@“2605 Mandy Way”
Based on other posts, the first choice major and status/major at admission should be stated somewhere in the student’s portal (maybe check the unofficial transcript, if that still exists).
In any case, your daughter should be fine, and it appears her desired major may be declared at any time by a student in good academic standing.
