Official Yale SCEA Decisions- Class of OHLEVEN ('11)

sofianoori, hmmm. i don't get how you can be low income (questbridge) and upper class at the same time. that seems quite suspicious, same with the foreign universities not counting as a degree...

i would consider that misrepresenting yourself.

A girl from our area was accepted EA with an SAT I of 2200.

isn't that normal mardad? lol.

Yes, it is normal or within the bell curve. I was responding to DirectorsCut's comment about the average EA student having an SAT of 2350.

oh i see.

well whatever the average is, i'm still screwed because standardized tests are the death of me lolllllll.

is 31 ACT bad for URM (hispanic) for Yale???

Natalie, with all due respect URMs I think they shouldn't think just because they are a URM they will auto-matically get in (I myself am one). This tends them to feel like they don't have to work as hard. You shouldn't even think that as a factor, even though it will be. Just try to ge the highest score you think you can get, and Yale will respect that. And yes 31 ACT isn't that bad for Yale, let alone a URM.

hmm, i think you all may be building up admitted students' stats a little. I don't really ask about people's SAT/ACT scores, but 3 pre-freshmen have told me theirs, and they are 1980, 2270, and 35. Although, the 1980 was a recruited athlete. There's a board on the yale 2011 facebook group, and some of the scores listed are 2220, 2090, 2060, 2400, and 2240.

(bump... maybe someone who forgot to post results in december might do so now? also might be useful for people who applied rd)

Dude, 29 days. This thread needs to be revived. Too bad it can't be renamed Official Yale Decisions 2011 (not just SCEA). But yeah...get your Eli accounts and fingers ready for decision day, less than a month away.

or...we could start another thread.........

Making a new thread would make sense. That way EA and RD decisions would be kept seperate for the seniors next year who want to look at them.
