On-Campus Job References

I am currently a freshman who has no job experience and am looking for a job on campus this semester. The application to get a job tells me to list 3 references, but don't have any experience/professional references to list...at most I have 1-2 professors.

The job description seems like it's just regular assistant job (filing, data, copying, etc), so will it really matter if I only list 1-2 teachers instead of 3?

Thanks.

I think having 2 instead of 3 is fine. 1 may be a little bit low for the employer to get a broader opinion of you.

Maybe you can put someone down like a supervisor of somewhere you volunteer in or your high school guidance counselor?

Do they have to be on campus? What about your coach from home or your high school teachers? Did you do any volunteer work when you were in high school? I would be surprised if you didn´t have a lot of ECs if you got into Cornell. They really just want to know if you are reliable and honest.
