On Hold Experiences

Daughter just got an email of acceptance this morning!!! (she had been put on hold after LA unifieds) Now, to arrange a visit - we’ve never been there!

Just got my acceptance at lunch today!!! I almost started crying at the lunch table!!!

Hooray for both acceptances!

Congratulations to all! I so recall that day three years ago. It continues to be a treasured memory! My daughter is currently an MT junior at CCM. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Again, enjoy this moment. It’s the first step on a great journey… no matter what your final choice is to pursue your goals… you have an amazing adventure ahead of you. : )

If we haven’t heard anything yet, should we just assume that we’re rejected or waistlisted? Congrats to those accepted!! :)

blueskies1108- Congratulations and please report back after your visit!!

Congrats to.both of you! Did your status change online at all? We’ve still not heard anything either way.

No - in fact her status still just says that all her documents are in. The email said they were sending her acceptance to admissions and that it might take them a bit to send her a confirmation. There was also no merit aid information.

So many guys…and so few girls accepted yet. You don’t have to assume that you didn’t get it yet. They’re still not done with acceptances according to some of the freshmen in the program…

Also I was accepted Feb 2 and I finally got a letter in the mail today explaining that aid will be available on March 31st!!! and that we have until may 1st to accept our acceptance and a bunch of other official mumbo jumbo.

I e-mailed today and was told that acceptances will continue to be communicated throughtout this week.

So I’m a little confused. I called today to see if all the slots were filled, to see if those who hadnt heard back yet were either rejected or wait listed. The lady on the phone said that a decision on me was made at today’s committee meeting, and left it at that. So, if they make a decision on you one day, If you are accepted, will they notify you that same day or will it be the next day? I’m sorry - I know this may sound crazy- but I really just want to know, so that I can just deal with things and move on. Lol any insight would be greatly appreciated :)

If they made a decision today…you may still not know for days…just breath and you will know soon enough!!! It’ll all fall into place.

Sorry Kam711- I don’t mean to sound like I’m whining , it’s just that this involves another school (state school- ba theatre- accepted to honors college) and they need an answer soon-moreso to finalize any scholarship possibilities. CCM is my top choice so ive been stalling to atleast see if I’d gotten in or not. Lol

Anyone else in? CCM told my S that he was decided on yesterday and would be getting a letter. Everyone on here seems to get e-mails if they are accepted. Anybody know differently? I love all this second guessing  Thanks guys!

Mvic2312, hold on untill all hope of getting into CCM is gone (until you get a letter either way). Although schools would like definite answers earlier, May is the deadline to decide. If you need to put a deposit down on a second choice, it is a small price to pay if your child does get accepted into the CCM program. The waiting is agony, but well worth it. Even the audition process for the school starts preparing them for the realities of this profession.

So question for anyone who could answer. If they are told “no”, and not put on the wait list, is there still possibly a chance for acceptance at some point?

Apple66- your comment about their audition process prepping them for the reality of the business interested me. What can you tell me about their audition process?

Jones1942,

This school has both a “wait list” and “hold list.” so “No” means “No” - My son got the same letter and there is no way to read it any other way.
Good luck with your other schools.

S#1 who’d been on hold, had status change to decline today. Sigh. On to the next thing.
