One B ruin my shot?

Hi, if I plan on majoring on biomedical engineering, but I received a B in IB biology 1 my sophomore year, does this ruin my shot? My school is IB and there is IB Biology 2 which I plan to take my senior year. If I do well on biology 2 senior year, my sat II biology subject test, and get a research position at a university, will this be enough to compensate the B I got in IB Biology 1? My other grades (math, physics) are very good (chemistry is ok), it is really just that biology class.

I have all the other factors pretty well covered (High act, overall good gpa, leadership positions, lots of good ec, some statewide awards, lots of volunteer hours)
I know there are many factors that go into an admission decision, but from a grades perspectives, do I still have a shot at:

Umich
Georgia Tech (rip)
UVA
Northwestern
Purdue
UCLA
Cal (rip)
BU
Northeastern

Basically I’m asking if the B I got in sophomore year in biology ruined my chances everywhere.

Thanks

nah u good

You’ll be fine.

looks like I’m just overthinking, thanks @jackoneill @zbthsjunior

nah the b isnt gonna be a major factor but some of these schools are a crapshoot regardless so

Just get over it and study hard for S2. Don’t take AP bio if you cant handle it (that course is pretty notorious at my school)

Perhaps my personal experience can help. I got my one and only B my junior year in AP Calculus BC (albeit only the first semester). I’m now a senior, and I’ve still gotten in early to UMich and Berkeley, for Ross and economics respectively, so no, 1 B will not hurt you! And since you’re a sophomore, you will have junior year to show that that 1 B did not affect you. A lot of my classmates got their first B sophomore year, and I’m sure they will all be fine.

@0x0001 by s2 you mean the subject test right? And our school doesn’t have AP Bio, just IB one and two

To answer your question: no.

No… I got into UChicago with a couple Bs. (And I’m Asian (Chinese)) It doesn’t make any difference.

@kjake2000 haha both sat II bio and semester 2

Definitely not!
