Most upper divs usually satisfy the requirements. If the school requires upper div bio, however, you have to take additional bio courses on top of that. To be sure I would email individual schools. I remember some schools prefer vertebrate zoology, physiology, genetics etc and some schools don’t take biochem courses as biology.

Most medical schools allow you to retake any upper division biology courses to replace the 1 year biology requirement.

Please keep in mind that there are some schools which are actually strict enough to want you to have a year of general biology, in which case you’ll have to take the BILD series. These schools are in the vast minority, so you generally shouldn’t worry about them.

Okay, thank you guys. Great advice. I am just slightly worried because I am taking some upper division course in the biology department, but of course they are more specialized than what I learned in AP biology in that AP biology is really broad. For example, I don’t think I will take a course on evolution anymore, but I don’t know of medical school would want to know I have a working knowledge of it ( which I do as evident by my AP score, but I heard medical schools don’t care about your AP scores even if you got a five).
