Operations Internship at Goldman Sachs

thanks for the response knm01190. i was wondering if you aren’t offered a second interview or a position, will they still contact you?

yes. either ways, they always contact you and let you know.

Hi everyone, I had applied for the IMD summer analyst internship a few weeks ago, but haven’t heard anything from GS yet. I checked my application status yesterday, and it said: “Thank you for applying to Goldman Sachs. You will be contacted should the appropriate position be available that matches your qualifications.” Since I also applied to other positions, their statuses are a bit different:“Thank you for applying to Goldman Sachs. Please re-visit this website to check the status of your application. You will be contacted should the appropriate position become available that matches your qualifications” Thus, I wonder if the first status above is equivalent to a rejection? Does anyone here get an interview for the IMD summer analyst internship yet?

Anyone get this message today? So weird that I did because I already had a 1st round interview in early February:

Thank you for your continued interest in the Goldman Sachs Operations Division. If you have not done so already, please be sure to apply online at [Goldman Sachs Careers](Goldman Sachs | Careers) for the Operations Summer Analyst position by Friday, March 4 at 12:00pm EST.

Please respond to this email with any questions you may have.

Best Regards,

did not get that email, but instead got another on-hold email. at this point, I’m just amused by them haha

i got an on-hold email from them as well today

i got that on hold email either= =

I didn’t get one :-(

anyone else who interviewed in jersey city on 3/16 hear back yet from goldman???

interviewed for ops summer analyst on 3/11 and got the offer 3/17. they’re pretty unpredictable when it comes to notifying you.

Hi SLCOps, did u applied Salt Lake City Ops or NY/NJ City Ops?

Salt Lake City

just checked my application status at the GS careers site, it said: “Application Status
: Application closed…We would like to thank you for your interest and wish you every success in your future career.”

i was put on hold a couple weeks ago and have yet to hear. anybody else get the same message on their Goldman Sachs | Careers site?

Congratulations to SLCOps… my online status was still under review and no one had contacted me since I first receive an on hold email on Mar.8th…don’t know how it goes

I interviewed about 2 months ago. I also received the “still under consideration” email on March 8. They said “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to speaking to you soon”

Checked my status online today, and I have the same message as “gadli” (that the application is closed). Does that mean that we are done? (I didn’t really think of checking the online status until I read this forum)

Or should I expect to get a phone call or an email informing me if I have been rejected?

Hi, my email also said this and it is remained on hold. I have not received another email informing the status, so I guess I would have to just wait. But I have another position which they declined me without an email.

I got a call from them a week and a half back to tell me I didn’t make it. Good luck to the rest of you!

The reason some of you are on hold and will not get accepted is because you are plastering contact information and confidential emails all over this site. Do you really think Goldman doesn’t check forums and facebook when considering candidates?

All of you who are on hold for GS Ops are idiots- not only can you not get an Ops position but you are so thoroughly confused by this “on hold” business.

REACH OUT TO THE RECRUITER IF YOU WANT TO GET AN UPDATE. The online application won’t change at all (when I got my offer it still said ‘Application Received’ and it didn’t change until I accepted the position to which it changed to “Offer accepted” [and no this is not for OPS hahahaha]).

If you only applied through online because GS didn’t come to your school, the odds are you will never ever hear back from them. They get probably 1,000+ resumes a day so don’t bother. If you did apply through your school (thus you also applied online, do not rely on the GS website for updates). Reach out to the recruiter if you are confused. If you haven’t heard anything in months you aren’t getting the job.

It is time to network people, this means reaching out to alumni from your school even if you have never met them before.

Also no one believe anything that the “TheFreshbiz” writes. He is an idiot, and constantly keeps promoting his review. He has already been based on WSO, and is thoroughly misinformed about the financial world.

I am on hold with them too. They didn’t let me know until I email their HR…

Anyone wants how long the hold will be? Or I can just simply move on?
