Opinions on Video Games...

Starcraft 2 is really fun and the multiplayer game length is short so you can easily play 30 minutes/1 hour a day which doesn’t really interrupt your studying.

I brought my 360, ps2, and dreamcast hoping for someone to play with me. Sadly Ive been disappointed since no one at my school plays fighting games or anything else I like and I can only play Rock Band for so long without it getting old

I’m intrigued by the fact that some people can play Starcraft for literally days. Doesn’t it get old?

Oh man Halo Reach… That game looks ballin. I’ve drooled at Halo ever since Combat Evolved. I’m not a fan of multiplayer though because I suck and I don’t have an xbox. I’m sad that I haven’t played the campaign of halo 3 or ODST. Watching the cutscenes itself was enough to give me a brain orgasm.

Oh yeah, one thing I’m worried about is that I’ll have no one to play my games with. It seems like people are only interested in Rock Band/Guitar Hero or Mario Party or something, which I really don’t care for. (≧ロ≦) Playing online is only fun for a short while until you’re bombarded with rage mail. Haha.

I feel ya there. I’ve never been a huge console gamer, but I own a 360 for Rock Band and the rare console exclusive that I actually want to play, but I left it at home because it was really impractical to take a console and all of my plastic instruments, etc. I’ve always had a love of PC gaming but I picked up a high powered lappy to replace my aging desktop, and when combined with more disposable income… I actually repurchased Fallout 3 and Oblivion during the winter madness sale because, despite having the discs, I preferred the convenience of Steam.

You know those Video Game clubs many colleges have? Are those popular or is it a bad habit to get into them?

Also, does Xbox live work in many dorms? Because I know that colleges limit the bandwidth and set limits for security reasons. Anyway it would be cool to have massive LAN parties.

I’m still waiting for the next Battlefield 2. Not a single game has grabbed my time the way that game did.

Now, I regret allowing my brothers to sell our old video games and consoles. I can’t take the Wii or 360 since I know they will throw a fit. Maybe my roommate will bring something…

if its yours you can bring it. They’ll just be out of luck.

Anyone think a ps2 is too old to bring? On top of playing old games for it (FFX, GTAIII)?

… don’t make me slap you…

ps2 is in its own leage, bring it.

/proud owner of a ps2

Yeah, the PS2 is incredible. Hell, I’d bring my SNES to college, but I absolutely do not want to risk losing/breaking it.

lol, PS2 is the best. I can spend hours playing it. But then again, I do not want to lose it if I bring it to college.

A ps2 is thankfully one of the easier systems to replace these days. They are still selling them for between $50-$100.
