does it matter which orientation session you attend?
by that i mean the earliest vs the latest
any advantage/disadvantages??

in my personal opinion, it’s probably better to attend one of the ones that’s BEFORE september (aka the ones in june or july depending on which college you’re in) because you’ll get the opportunity to sit down with an academic adviser for 15-20 minutes to discuss your first quarter schedule. since registration is in August, it makes more sense to do an earlier orientation so you can have that advice in advance, rather than registering on your own and then doing orientation AFTER.

good luck :)

The only advantage I can think of, is if you attend an earlier session you may become good friends with someone that you’d want to request to room with on your housing contract (due in late June). Also, orientation provides you with a lot of important class selection info and sometimes sessions with academic advisors - so going in June is ideal.

You don’t register for classes at orientation, you do that individually in August. So at the end of the day, it’s not hugely important which orientation session you attend.

ya im definitely going in June
there r 3 sessions in June
is there any advantage in going to the earliest session in June, is what im trying to ask
sorry for the confusion

^No, 10 char

im not the op, but i have a question about orientation too.
which sessions (for marshall, there are 4–two in june two in sept) do you think would have more people for the june sessions (one is a friday the other a monday)?
